Social media sites like X (formerly Twitter) increasingly serve as spaces for the public to discuss controversial topics. Social media can spark extreme viewpoints and spread biased or inaccurate information while simultaneously allowing for debate around policy-relevant topics. The arrest of Joseph J. DeAngelo in April 2018 ignited a barrage of social media conversations on how DNA and genetic genealogy led to the suspect. These conversations continued over the following years as policies changed and as the use of the approach expanded. We evaluated disparities in disease burden, organ dysfunction, vital signs, and timing of therapy in children newly presenting with acute leukemia. Among 899 patients with acute leukemia diagnosed at two large children's hospitals, a priori lab-based definitions of high disease burden, infection risk, renal dysfunction, and coagulopathy were applied to electronic health record data. Black patients with acute myeloid leukemia had increased prevalence of elevated white blood cell count and uric acid; Black patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia demonstrated increased prevalence of coagulopathy. Aims: Health care transition (HCT) to adult care and young adult disease self-management is a multi-step process involving three major stakeholders - the adolescent, the caregiver, and the provider. Preparation gaps exist within each of these stakeholder groups. This paper presents the development of the Intervention to Promote Autonomy and Competence in Transition-aged Youth (IPACT), a multi-level (adolescent, caregiver, provider), multi-modal (interactive skill building sessions, educational materials, videos) intervention to address gaps in all three stakeholder groups simultaneously and help support achieving the three core elements of HCT planning.

Extant studies show that AI has affordances to support in English language teaching and learning ELT/L. This study answers the call to examine specific challenges and affordances for using AI in ELT/L. A systematic review method was used with PRISMA principles to identify 42 studies. As the climate crisis continues, businesses are becoming savvier with how they communicate their environmental impact to their audiences. Greenwashing, the act of making unsubstantiated claims about the environmental friendliness of products, is becoming more popular amongst unsustainable corporations. Past research shows that companies are using specific techniques to deceive consumers. By conducting a content analysis of five corporate Instagram accounts from companies with past greenwashing allegations, this research used four main criteria to categorize greenwashed posts: color palette recurrent language, pleasant nature imagery, and vague appeals. งานวิจัยเชิงปริมาณนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลกับระดับ ความผูกพันต่อองค์กร และเพื่อศึกษาอิทธิพลของการรับรู้บรรยากาศองค์กรต่อระดับความผูกพันต่อองค์กร ของข้าราชการ สังกัดสำนักงานสถิติแห่งชาติ (ส่วนกลาง) โดยจำแนกบรรยากาศองค์กรออกเป็น 6 ด้าน ได้แก่ ด้านโครงสร้างองค์กรและมาตรฐานการปฏิบัติงาน ด้านการติดต่อสื่อสารภายในองค์กร ด้านการมีส่วนร่วม ในการตัดสินใจ ด้านการใส่ใจต่อพนักงาน ด้านการใช้อำนาจและอิทธิพลในองค์กร และด้านการสร้างแรงจูงใจ ในการทำงาน โดยใช้การเก็บข้อมูลในรูปแบบของแบบสอบถาม จากกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 193 คน มีระยะเวลา ในการปฏิบัติงานภายในสำนักงานสถิติแห่งชาติ 1 ปีขึ้นไป โดยใช้วิธีการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบบังเอิญ จากนั้นจึงนำข้อมูลที่ได้มาประมวลผลผ่านโปรแกรมสำเร็จรูปทางสถิติ SPSS ในส่วนของผลการวิเคราะห์สถิติเชิงพรรณนาพบว่าการรับรู้บรรยากาศองค์กรโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับดี และระดับความผูกพันต่อองค์กรโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก ทั้งนี้ในส่วนของผลการวิเคราะห์การถดถอยเชิงพหุคูณพบว่า ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลด้านเพศ อายุ และอายุงาน ส่งผลต่อความผูกพันต่อองค์กรอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ กล่าวคือเพศชายมีความผูกพันต่อองค์กรมากที่สุด รองลงมาคือเพศหญิง และ LGBTQ+ ตามลำดับ ในขณะเดียวกันเมื่ออายุและอายุงานมากขึ้น ก็มีส่วนส่งผล ให้เกิดความผูกพันต่อองค์กรมากขึ้นเช่นกัน นอกจากนี้ผลการศึกษายังแสดงให้เห็นว่าบรรยากาศองค์กรภาพรวม มีอิทธิพลเชิงบวกต่อความผูกพันต่อองค์กรอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ อย่างไรก็ตามเมื่อวิเคราะห์บรรยากาศองค์กรแยกเป็นรายด้านพบว่า มีเพียงด้านการใส่ใจต่อพนักงาน และด้านโครงสร้างองค์กรและมาตรฐานการปฏิบัติงาน ที่ส่งผลต่อความผูกพันต่อองค์กรอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ดังนั้นองค์กรจึงควรให้ความสำคัญในการส่งเสริมบรรยากาศองค์กรที่ดีในการทำงาน อีกทั้งคำนึงถึงปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลที่มีความหลากหลาย เพื่อให้บุคลากรเกิดความผูกพันต่อองค์กรมากขึ้น

The Washtenaw County (MI) Prosecutor’s Office’s Pre-Plea Diversion Program (PPDP) aims to divert eligible misdemeanor defendants from the criminal justice system, offering rehabilitative programming to reduce reoffending and minimize the collateral consequences of a criminal conviction with case dismissal. This research assessed whether PPDP participants were less likely to be re-arrested in the six months following program completion compared to a sample of defendants facing similar charges within the same court. It was hypothesized that the PPDP would effectively reduce re-arrest, with community service and mental health counseling proving particularly impactful. It seeks to ultimately differentiate reform quality between the Czech Republic and Poland in terms of well-being. The basis of reform success is determined using a quality of life scale that spans economic, health, and environmental indicators. This thesis examines the determinants of the usage of carbon offsets within the California cap-and-trade program for greenhouse gas emissions. It also investigates the relationship between a firm’s investment in offsets and its financials for publicly traded companies. Entity-level data from 2013 to 2020 was used, which was sourced from the California Air Resources Board. Multiple regression analysis was used to investigate factors that correlated with offset usage and whether offset usage correlated with EBITDA. The first chapter examines New York State's Fiscal Score Monitoring program to find the effect of two quality labels on school district outcomes: fiscal stress scores, reflecting the budget solvency, and environmental stress labels reflecting economic and demographic conditions. Using the NYS school district data from 2013-22, I employ the regression discontinuity design to find the effect of stress labels, in response to the political pressure on district finances, housing, and school outcomes.
