We present a perspective of the national transplant program based on organizational theory and complexity theory, framing the system’s allocation of donor organs as an interorganizational directed multiplex of agents with diverse belief formation in a cooperative-competitive environment. Simulation and analysis of this macroscale complexity may help explain known behavioural variations across member organizations. However, the transplant community still relies on system-scale simulations since effective macroscale methodologies are not well established. Therefore, we offer this perspective of the national transplant program as a means to stimulate new methods that capture macroscale impacts of policy development for deceased donor organ allocation.

In coastal cities, the damage stemming from hurricanes and severe tropical storms may reduce housing stock. Accelerating the reconstruction of housing stock becomes crucial in minimizing the time that residents are displaced. It is critical to understand how to better coordinate all available resources for an effective and balanced reconstruction where nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), government agencies, volunteers, and many other complex resources converge. This study combines Monte Carlo and beta models to assess supply, costs, and recovery times. As the station recently turned 34 years old in March 2022, it has never had a strategic plan or gone through the strategic planning process. The strategic planning process was facilitated by the Principal Investigator and involved members of WRFL’s leadership team, and general student and community members. This paper studies whether the Korean government's R&D expenditure effectively achieves its purpose. In June 2020 the nonprofit organization CivicLex conducted a round of online surveys of Lexington residents in order to gauge how to increase levels of civic knowledge and civic participation in Lexington. Through this study of Lexington-Fayette Urban County, it was found that connection within Urban Service Boundaries is on par with national goals, while rural areas are left out. The primary objective of this research project is to identify the main uses of the sunset provision as it relates to the local tax code. This research project utilizes a case study approach to collect and analyze sunset tax legislation from five municipalities. Capital project funding is found to be the primary use of taxes with a sunset provision. Kentucky Revised Statute 132.487 sets forth limitations on the motor vehicle tax rate, which can be levied by the state, counties, cities, and special taxing districts. According to the statute, the rate is formulated on a January 1, 1983 date without exception. However, a lack of oversight and understanding of KRS 132.487 has created problems among counties, cities, and special districts in Kentucky. In some cases, this has led to the adoption of tax rates which violate the statute and should be investigated and addressed by the legislature. Public school funding formulas vary broadly between states in both the levels of funding and the mechanisms through which funding is distributed. Most states provide targeted funding for student populations that need supplemental resources, including low-income and limited English proficiency student populations, as does the Federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). This dissertation contributes to education equity scholarship produced by academics seeking to develop understandings of disability, Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and how both are situated amongst faculty in institutions of higher education. As such, this dissertation centers on a study of public US universities belonging to the Association of American Universities (AAU). This study looks for institutional level associations between respective rates by which college and university faculty with disabilities (FWD) are employed, certain aspects of disability policy drawn from each institution’s 2020 Affirmative Action Plans (AAP), and various other instances of empirical disability data (EDD).

Between 2010 and 2018, Kittitas County, Washington faced an influx of Solar Power Production Facility (SPPF) proposals that challenged its traditional rural land management governance. Despite state support of decarbonized energy, variegated interpretations of project permitting procedures induced heated contentions amongst stakeholders. To explore this, this research constructs a multijurisdictional legal framework for SPPF advancement. สารนิพนธ์เรื่อง “ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความเครียดจากการปฏิบัติหน้าที่และความผูกพันองค์กรของเจ้าหน้าที่ศุลกากร กรณีศึกษา สำนักงานศุลกากรตรวจสินค้าท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ” มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับความเครียดจากการปฏิบัติหน้าที่และระดับความผูกพันองค์กรของเจ้าหน้าที่ศุลกากร สำนักงานศุลกากรตรวจสินค้าท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ และเพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความเครียดจากการปฏิบัติหน้าที่และความผูกพันองค์กรของเจ้าหน้าที่ศุลกากร สำนักงานศุลกากรตรวจสินค้าท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ การวิจัยครั้งเป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ (Quantitative Research) กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ เจ้าหน้าที่ศุลกากร จำนวน 191 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูใช้ค่าสถิติโดยวิธีการหา ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าร้อยละ และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และทดสอบสมมติฐานการวิจัยด้วยสถิติ T-test F-test และการวิเคราะห์สัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน (Pearson correlation coefficient) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) ระดับความเครียดจากการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของเจ้าหน้าที่ศุลกากรอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง โดยความเครียดที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด 3 อันดับแรก ได้แก่ ด้านลักษณะงานและสภาพแวดล้อมในการทำงาน ด้านบทบาทหน้าที่ในองค์กร และด้านโครงสร้างองค์กร ตามลำดับ (2) ระดับความผูกพันองค์กรของเจ้าหน้าที่ศุลกากรอยู่ในระดับสูง โดยด้านการยอมรับเป้าหมายและค่านิยมขององค์กรมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงที่สุด (3) ความเครียดจากการปฏิบัติหน้าที่มีความสัมพันธ์ในทิศทางตรงข้ามกับความผูกพันองค์กรของเจ้าหน้าที่ศุลกากร

ในช่วงทศวรรษที่ผ่านมาภาคอุตสาหกรรมมีความก้าวหน้าอย่างมาก มีการปรับเปลี่ยนกระบวนการผลิตจากการใช้แรงงานคนมาเป็นเทคโนโลยีและเครื่องจักร ทำให้มีปัจจัยเสี่ยงต่อการเกิดอุบัติเหตุในการทำงานเพิ่มมากขึ้น ซึ่งในการเกิดอุบัติเหตุแต่ละครั้งจะก่อให้เกิดความสูญเสียเป็นอย่างมาก การศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ (1) เพื่อศึกษาการรับรู้ ทัศนคติ และพฤติกรรมที่สอดคล้องกับคู่มือ /แนวทางการปฏิบัติตามมาตรการป้องกันความเสี่ยงอุบัติิเหตุในการทำงาน (2) เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการที่สนับสนุนในการปฏิบัติตามมาตรการความปลอดภัย ของบริษัทเอกชนสัญชาติไทยแห่งหนึ่ง ในเขตอุตสาหกรรม จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ ในบริบทของงานวิจัยนี้ผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ คือพนักงานผู้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ขับขี่รถโฟล์คลิฟท์ในบริษัทแห่งนี้ จํานวน 5 คน และเจ้าหน้าที่แผนกทรัพยากรบุคคล (HR) จํานวน 2 คน ผลการสัมภาษณ์จากผู้ให้ข้อมูลสําคัญทั้งหมด เมื่อนํามาเปรียบเทียบจากการให้ความรู้ ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับคู่มือ /แนวทางการปฏิบัติตามมาตรการป้องกันความเสี่ยงอุบัติิเหตุในการทำงาน เพื่อวิเคราะห์ว่าการรับรู้ของผู้ให้ข้อมูลสําคัญ การให้ความร่วมมือและเห็นความสำคัญกับกฎระเบียบและหลักเกณฑ์ในการขับขี่รถโฟล์คลิฟท์ที่บริษัทฯกําหนดหรือไม่อย่างไร โดยในภาพรวมพบว่า ถึงแม้ผู้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ขับขี่รถโฟล์คลิฟท์จะมีการรับรู้พื้นฐานที่ดีเกี่ยวกับคู่มือ /แนวทางการปฏิบัติตามมาตรการป้องกันความเสี่ยงอุบัติิเหตุในการทำงาน แต่จากผลการสังเกตการณ์พบว่าพนักงานผู้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ขับขี่รถโฟล์คลิฟท์ในบางครั้งยังไม่สวมหมวกนิรภัย ไม่ใส่เสื้อสะท้อนแสง ไม่จอดรถที่จุดจอด เป็นต้น แสดงให้เห็นถึงความไม่ต่อเนื่องและเข้มงวดในการส่งเสริมวัฒนธรรมความปลอดภัยในองค์กร ซึ่งบริษัทฯควรสร้างบรรยากาศที่ส่งเสริมการรับรู้และการให้ความร่วมมือด้านความปลอดภัยอย่างต่อเนื่องต่อไป

This article explores the links between internet radicalization, access to weapons, and the current threat from terrorists who have been radicalized online. The prevalence of domestic terrorism, domestic hate groups, and online incitement and radicalization have led to considerable focus on the tension between counterterror efforts and the First Amendment. Many scholars recommend rethinking the extent of First Amendment protection, as well as Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment protections, and some judges appear to be listening. The graphic and bodily facts of a legal question of rights are relevant to the courts, particularly in questions that directly implicate physical bodies and pain, such as right to die cases, or what level of search may be allowable and when. However, in the case of abortion, or more specifically the bodily ramifications of pregnancy and childbirth, this detail is conspicuously absent. Airline leaders who lack strategies to address occupational stress may experience adverse impacts on cabin crew health, organizational efficiency, and overall aviation safety. Grounded in the job demands-resources theory, the purpose of this single case study was to explore strategies that upper-level airline leaders used to reduce occupational stress on cabin crewmembers. The rising cost of Medicare is a growing concern for recipients. Beneficiaries are often forced to implement a host of strategies to meet rising out-of-pocket expenses. This qualitative study was conducted to address a research gap in methods used by senior citizens to manage rising Medicare coverage costs. Garmezy’s resilience theory was used to contextualize the rising costs of Medicare premiums and copays and strategies used to manage healthcare needs. The Coalition for Healthy Nevada Lands, Wildlife and Free-roaming Horses (CHNL) is dedicated to proper management of free-roaming horses (Equus caballus) and burros (E. asinus) so rangelands are healthy, which benefits wildlife and the horses and burros themselves. The CHNL proposes the rapid reduction of horses and burros on designated public lands to achieve appropriate management levels (AML). After these reductions, the use of fertility control, supplemented with some gathers and adoption of gathered horses, should allow the Bureau of Land Management to economically maintain horse and burro populations at AML.
