In this study we analyze the prevalence of library resource and services links appearing on our competitors’ homepages. By doing so we identify some of the best content links and search features to include on our own redesigned homepage. We also discuss headings that may be used for categories or menus appearing on the homepage. Our competitors’ menu systems and the movement to responsive webpage layout is also examined.

This paper analyzed the growth of open access institutional repositories in Nigeria over the last 10 years. OpenDoar website is a directory of all open access institutional repositories in the world. It is a quality-assured global directory that enables the identification, browsing and search for repositories. OpenDoar was analyzed to get statistics of institutional repositories in Nigeria based on such parameters as: Type, Status, software, total number of records, subject covered and content uploaded. This study was conducted to assess the levels of motivation of 14 motivating factors on academic librarians in four Nigerian Federal Universities based on gender and years of service. The population comprised of 66 librarians from the universities of Abeokuta, Calabar, Ibadan, and Uyo. An 18-item structured questionnaire, with section A soliciting for respondents’ biodata and section B soliciting for respondents’ opinion regarding how much they were motivated by each of the 14 motivating factors, was adopted for data collection. This article describes an active-learning exercise intended to help teach copyright, fair use, and Creative Commons licenses. In the exercise students use a worksheet to draw original pictures, create derivative pictures on tracing paper, select Creative Commons licenses, and explore commercial usage, fair use, and copyright infringement. Librarian-instructors may find the completed worksheets to be useful aids to supplement copyright lectures; student perspectives will be integral because they are generating the examples used in discussion. This study was designed to investigate the influence of parenting styles on children’s/wards’ use of social media at Oritamefa Baptist Model School (OBMS), Ibadan, Nigeria. The study adopted the ex-post facto research design, questionnaire was the main instrument of data collection. Two hundred and sixty-eight copies of a questionnaire were administered, out of which 240 copies were retrieved and found valid for analysis, constituting 89.5% response rate. Percentages, mean, and standard deviation were used to analyse research questions while Pearson Product Moment correlation at 0.05 level of significance was used to test the hypothesis. Therefore, the paper investigates the use of social media in performing library services in Nigeria. Survey research method was adopted. The sample for this study consists of 85 library personnel. Records created about archival materials—including deeds of gift, collection-related correspondence, and other accession documentation—play an important role, particularly when it comes to providing access and maintaining partnerships with other recordkeepers. This case study will describe a project to review the accession documentation of all collections within Augusta University’s Special Collections & Institutional Archives, and the collections of the local historical society, held on deposit with the department.

Article 1 of the US Constitution assigns the US Congress numerous responsibilities. These include creating new laws, revising existing laws, funding government programs, and conducting oversight of these programs' performance. Oversight of US Government agency space policy programs is executed by various congressional space policy committees, including the House and Senate Science Committees, Armed Services, and Appropriations Committees. Gregg L. Semenza, William G Kaelin, Jr, and Sir Peter J. Ratcliffe were awarded the 2019 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine on October 7, 2019. Their work led to the understanding of how cells recognize and adapt to varying oxygen levels. Hypoxia-inducible nuclear factors play an essential role in this mechanism by turning on other genes that work towards increasing oxygen levels in hypoxic environments. Other vital pieces of the machinery include von Hippel-Lindau proteins and prolyl hydroxylation. This article analyzes 12 semi-structured interviews within the framework of transformational leadership, using a set of open-ended questions addressed to 12 directors (six men and six women) of academic libraries in high-ranking universities in four different countries (Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America).
