Evaluating Special Education Journals With H-Type Indices And Journal Impact Factors, Zao Liu

This paper evaluates special education journals using the h-type indices and journal impact factor. Fifty-seven special education journals were selected from the special education category of Clarivate Analytics’ Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and two published lists of special education journals. The journal h-indices were compared among themselves and with their available impact factors. The correlation analysis of the metrics found very strong positive relationships between the journal h-type indices and between the Web of Science h-index and the journal impact factors. The emergence of electronic books (ebook) changed the position of printed books in the learning space. This study examines the perceptions and preferences of hospitality and tourism educators and learners. Similarities and dissimilarities in the preference, perception and its link with gender, and scope of the degree course what the respondents teach and learn are analyzed. Data was collected from both students and teachers of hospitality, tourism and culinary degree program at a private university located in Karnataka, India. The goal of this program is for library workers to think critically how we might take a more measured approach to review and integrate technology into library services. Participants are encouraged to think beyond the glitz and glam of new toys and consider how innovation can work in favor of community goals and library ethics. This paper describes briefly a survey conducted at Alagappa University, Central Library, Karaikudi to find out the information access pattern of the users through UGC-Infonet digital library consortium’s journals. A sample size of sixty five Alagappa University Central Library users was selected by random sampling method. The data required for the study was collected through a questionnaire. The findings of the study:58 (89.23%) are aware about the UGC-Infonet journals. 24(36.92%) of the respondents are aware the infonet journals through the library professionals. The main objective of this study is to investigate and analyze global research productivity in knowledge management (KM) research published from 1960 to 2017 and indexed in Scopus database. It is the first scientometric study investigating and analyzing 56 years of KM literature indexed in Scopus. The study used scientometric approach to identify and analyze bibliographic information of 63474 documents retrieved, in August 2018, from Scopus database. The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

This article reviews scholarship of incorporating institutional objectives in academic courses and proposes a method to embed mission-critical competencies in a library instruction course. Few academic institutions focus their mission or core competencies on digital communication. LaGuardia Community College delineates three competencies in its mission: inquiry and problem solving, global learning, and integrative learning. Students exhibit command of these competencies in written, oral, or digital communication. Cybersecurity is a fast-evolving discipline that is always in the news over the last decade, as the number of threats rises and cybercriminals constantly endeavor to stay a step ahead of law enforcement. Over the years, although the original motives for carrying out cyberattacks largely remain unchanged, cybercriminals have become increasingly sophisticated with their techniques. Traditional cybersecurity solutions are becoming inadequate at detecting and mitigating emerging cyberattacks.
