While Ann Allen Shockley’s literary career has received a wealth of critique, her work as a librarian and her writings about Black Special Collections have not received as much analysis. When viewed through the lens of Critical Race Theory (CRT), Shockley emerges as an activist- librarian, one worthy of further study and consideration. Her writing and instruction on Black special collections highlight the liberatory potential of collection building to address the marginalization that traditional cataloging and classification systems impose on materials about the experiences of Black people. In this paper we, as members of the ACRL EBSS Social Work Committee,1 share our experience of developing a companion document to the ACRL Framework.2 Our overarching goal of this project is to clearly demonstrate the overlap between the ACRL Framework and social work’s educational competencies professional ethics. Over the course of this two-year project, we developed a fuller understanding of how social justice—and its corresponding concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion—exist in both professions.

The main theme of this study was to examine the information needs and seeking behavior of Female Paramedical Staff in Government Hospitals of District Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Survey-based method was used to carried out the study. The population of this study was 110 Female paramedical staff in two government hospitals. Despite the potential of spatial displays for supporting teachers’ classroom orchestration through real-time classroom analytics, the process to design these displays is a challenging and under-explored topic in the learning analytics (LA) community. This paper proposes a mid-fidelity Virtual Prototyping method (VPM), which involves simulating a classroom environment and candidate designs in virtual space to address these challenges. VPM allows for rapid prototyping of spatial features, requires no specialized hardware, and enables teams to conduct remote evaluation sessions. The study intended to assess the level of awareness and the status of applications of total quality management (TQM) in medical libraries. A survey method was used to collect data from the library professionals serving in the libraries of medical colleges/institutes/universities of Punjab, Pakistan. The findings revealed that the majority of the respondents claimed a good level of awareness and understanding about TQM applications for medical libraries. This study utilized a qualitative research approach using specifically phenomenological case study research design in a sample of 28 university lecturers in Gauteng, Free State, and Eastern Cape Provinces of South Africa. Qualitative data were collected using a validated interview schedule. Data collected were analysed using thematic analysis.
