Nurse retention has become increasingly challenging in the post-pandemic era, particularly for private hospitals. This study aimed to identify the significant predictors of nurse retention in selected private hospitals in Malaysia. A quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional design was employed. A pre-validated, self-administered questionnaire, distributed via Google Forms, was used for data collection. The respondents included 532 registered nurses employed at three private hospitals in Malaysia. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and correlation studies, including Spearman’s rho and multiple regression analysis. The Summit Medical Center’s 4th and 5th floor medical-surgical units currently utilize a fixed numerical assignment system, not considering the complexity of individual patients when assigning patients to nurses. This form of assignment-making poses potential problems with unequal workloads, contributes to an increase in nurse burnout, and potentially compromised care. This Doctor of Nursing Practice project aimed to assess PONV rates and evaluate the effects of dexmedetomidine on PONV incidence in intraabdominal surgical patients. Additionally, the project sought to inform Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) about dexmedetomidine and assess the perceived value of this information through a survey.

This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project aims to educate first-year college students about SA, sexual consent, and available resources to empower students in preventing assaults and seeking help when needed. The intervention, which was integrated into mandatory freshman seminars at a four-year university, was guided by Knowles' Adult Learning Theory. Integrating pedagogical and technological knowledge among faculty is crucial, especially within Florida state colleges’ Nursing (ADN) programs. I explored the impact of three decades of technological advancements on faculty's ability to incorporate technology into their teaching methods using a qualitative, exploratory design; I conducted semi-structured interviews via Microsoft Teams. The analysis of faculty perceptions, experiences, and challenges reveals a significant gap in pedagogical knowledge despite strong subject matter expertise, indicating underdeveloped instructional strategies and learner-centered pedagogies.
