Purpose: To compare patient satisfaction with single implant mandibular overdenture retained by locator attachment to conventional dentures.

Materials and methods: 8 participants with completely edentulous arches were included in this prospective clinical study. First, conventional complete dentures were constructed for all participants and then a mandibular single midline implant was surgically placed to retain mandibular overdenture (MOD). They received instructions regarding wearing the conventional dentures for three months before implant insertion, then the locator attachment pick-up was done and the participants were asked to wear the mandibular overdenture for the next 3 months. Objectives: To determine the nature of plasma cell proliferation in oral plasma cell granuloma either to be polyclonal or monoclonal via immunohistochemical expression of kappa(k) and lambda(λ ) antibodies. This study would confirm the diagnosis of oral plasma cell granuloma and exclude other plasma cell neoplasms.

Material and methods: This study was performed retrospectively on 25 oral plasma cell granuloma cases. Immunohistochemical expression of kappa and lambda light chains was made and the mean percentage of expression was scored semi-quantitatively. In all, 56 human molars were divided according to the used pretreatment material (chlorohexidine, riboflavin, papain, and untreated control group) and then divided according to the aging time (immediate: 24 h and delayed: after 6 months). The nasopalatine duct cyst (NPDC) is one of the most common non-odontogenic, non-neoplastic developmental cysts. It arises from the epithelial remnants of the nasopalatine duct within the incisive canal and crosses the midline of the anterior maxilla. Most cases are asymptomatic and either are discovered by chance on radiographs or present as a soft tissue swelling, pain, or drainage in the palate.
