This article provides a brief biology of the Tajik kovrak (F.tadshikorum Pimen.) And information on the establishment of plantations in the arable lands of Arnasay district of Jizzakh region in 2015-2019 by sowing seeds of the plant from different regions. The experiment was of two types: Option 1, in which the soil was well tilled, plowed, and then sown, and Option 2 was chiseled and then sown in seedbeds. It was found that planting resin-bearing husks in plowed areas gave better results than in chisel-planted areas. In both cases, the number of fragile seedlings has been declining over the years. …

The article provides information about the quality of seeds: infestation, germination, humidity and mass of 1000 seeds of some fudder legumes plants. The infestation of seeds in the studied species in natural conditions ranges from 16,9 to 22,4 %, and the moisture content of seeds was 12.9-15.4 %, depending on the species. Hard-seeding is very high, from 80.6 (O.micrantha) to 95.4% (A.sieversianus). Seed dormancy in the studied taxa according to the classification of M. G. Nikolaeva et al. The article is devoted to the altitudinal and biotopic distribution of terrestrial mollusсs of the Zaamin mountains. Faunistic analysis showed that 31 species of mollusсs belonging to 19 genera and 14 families live in this region. The high-altitude distribution of mollusсs was carried out according to the classification of K.Z.Zakirov, where such high-altitude zones as chul (plains), adyr (foothills), tau (mountains) and yaylau (high mountains) were identified. In this study, technical sodium carboxymethylcellulose (Na-CMC) with degree of substitution (DS) = 0.62-0.90 and a degree of polymerization (DP) = 200-600 were washed in 70% ethyl alcohol and a 2% fraction of purified Na-CMC was centrifugation at a speed of 6000 rpm for 20 minutes. A 0.1 M solution of SeO2 was added to the centrifuged Na-CMC solution at 60 ⁰C and mixed mechanically. Elements of the climate assessment activities are described along with their purpose and rationale for inclusion. Work-life balance (WLB) is a challenge for principals to navigate as the ever-increasing responsibilities require more time. Because time is limited, achieving balance between principals’ workloads and home responsibilities can cause significant stress. Often, women principals face additional challenges because of childcare and household responsibilities. To support principals in their practice and encourage them to enter and persist in the role, better policies and practices should be implemented. By providing more site level staff, fostering a culture where WLB is valued, releasing principals from non-essential obligations, and training principals to prioritize tasks, districts can help mitigate the overload principals experience.

The purpose of this study was to develop a reliable and valid survey instrument that would prove useful in identifying faculty with the capacity and inclination to succeed in team-taught, hands-on, transdisciplinary course programming. Using an exploratory, mixed-methods design, the qualitative component consisted of semi-structured interviews of nine experienced X-Labs faculty. The qualitative analysis process identified attributes that were vital to transdisciplinary teaching and demonstrated patterns that were consistent with complex leadership development. A name is often an extension of one’s culture or language and represents their identity. This article describes a self-directed autoethnographic research study of how the author moved from a deficit to an asset perspective in working with non-native speakers of English. Reframing this perspective took place by investigating how the author’s lived experiences as an ESL instructor intersected with the learning theories of language learner autonomy, plurilingualism, and internationalization at home to create positive flashpoints. These flashpoints included offering choices, marking learner success, and embedding cultural information into domestic settings. By engaging in these reflections, a widened perspective of moving from English as a second language to English as an additional language was reached. …

With changing demographics in the United States, educator preparations programs (EPPs) must consider incorporating more experiential learning opportunities for preservice teachers to grow in their self-efficacy when working in diverse classrooms. At a rural university in the southern United States, researchers designed an instructional unit that transcended three educator preparation courses to provide an opportunity for students to design and deliver a 5E science lesson to English learners from a rural school district. This paper focuses on quantitatively assessing the implementation of a freshman academy on multiple educational outcomes for students including academic, behavioral and emotional indicators. Existing research presents mixed findings on the effectiveness of freshman academies on student success, and rarely attempt to measure indicators other than grades or standardized test scores. This study examines not only students’ grades and credits attained, but also attendance, behavior referrals and most innovatively, students’ emotional engagement and connectedness. Data from cohorts prior to and post-freshman academy implementation were quantitatively analyzed using a causal-comparative design.
