Leavers And Movers: Turnover Of Music Teachers In Nebraska, Christian G. Schuerman

The purpose of this study was to determine if the rates of music teachers leaving the teaching profession and changing schools were significantly different than those of teachers of other content areas in the state of Nebraska. This study used data from the previous nine years of the Nebraska Department of Education’s Education Directory in order to find results for the entire population. Results indicated that music teachers leave the profession at similar rates as teachers of other content areas, but move schools at significantly higher rates.

The purpose of this study is to use a positive psychology lens to broaden and refine our understanding of professional development experiences, and to construct a practical, but evidence-based framework for a developmental human resource management (HRM) system. Study 1 uses focus group interviews with 18 full-time professionals enrolled in a management education program to explore experiences that are likely to strengthen and clarify one's aspirational future professional identity, or the ideal self. This study addresses the visibility of traditional craft and focuses on developing a strategy to increase its exposure through online marketing platforms. Puspa Rinengga Batik Studio, a small and medium-sized enterprise in Sleman, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, specializes in creating batik with jangkang motifs. Despite their unique craft, the studio struggled with marketing their products, resulting in an imbalance between production and sales. This qualitative study aims to understand the perceptions and experiences of human services professionals working within urban communities with respect to their work experiences, compensation, and work-life balance. Focus groups were used to collect data from direct service staff and executive leadership from diverse agencies. This study examined the words and stories, generating the following overarching themes: (1) dedication to agency model and communities served; (2) compensation and responsibilities; (3) reality of work-life balance; and (4) desire for professional growth and personal growth. It encompasses the Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) and the Preparing Future Professionals (PFP) Certificates. The Career Pathways program prepares graduate students for successful transition into thriving careers by serving as a gateway to resources, programs, events, and planning tools for ODU graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. Purpose: The purpose of this phenomenological study was to identify and describe World of Warcraft game leaders’ perceptions of the impact on their guilds regarding Bass’s 4 I’s of transformational leadership.

Methodology: This qualitative study interviewed 13 World of Warcraft game leaders who have led their guild members for at least one year. The main source of data collection was semi-structured open-ended interview questions with other resources to include artifacts. The researcher coded and analyzed data for themes and patterns.

There is a gap in the literature in identifying the relationship between middle-class Puerto Rican women and financial literacy. Large-scale adverse events such as natural disasters and pandemics interrupt business services, initiating defining moments for organizations. The trend of people exiting the workforce compels organizations to examine turnover risk and search for factors that mitigate the impact of resignations. This research explicitly investigated how multinational corporations can enhance workplace inclusion through the novel use of the CliftonStrengths® assessment as a dimension of deep-level diversity. The study gleaned insights from employees’ perspectives, employing a constructivist grounded theory approach to explicate their experiences in rich qualitative narratives. Through open-ended surveys and intensive interviews, participants were selected using purposeful sampling to ensure meaningful data collection from the study organizations’ three global regions. When employers hire people with disabilities, collective behavioral change occurs in organizations. Specifically, attitudes toward people with disabilities improve through professional interventions and encourage organizational citizenship behavior. Previous studies have demonstrated the economic and client-focused effect of hiring people with disabilities, resulting in a tested model of competitive, integrated employment. In this study, we find that a performance-based behavioral change occurs in non-disabled employees when organizations employ best practices in relation to people with disabilities in the workplace.
