This study examines how entrepreneurial personality traits influence business outcomes among underrepresented minority entrepreneurs in the United States. Specifically, it investigates the effects of entrepreneurial self-efficacy, locus of control, risk tolerance, and extraversion on entrepreneurial performance, as well as the moderating role of grit and the mediating role of business networking. Although underrepresented minority entrepreneurs contribute significantly to innovation and economic growth, they continue to face persistent barriers, including limited access to capital, mentorship, and supportive entrepreneurial ecosystems. This study examines insights from business executives on how TRAILS—that is, taxes, regulations, assessments, interventions, litigation, and subsidies—influence entrepreneurial behavior and firm performance. Using an applied constructivist grounded theory design, we conducted 17 in-depth interviews to identify how top business executives view the effects of regulations on business performance. We adopt the premise that the right level and set of regulations lead to a healthier business environment. We find that right-sized TRAILS catalyze entrepreneurial dynamism, whereas wrong-sized TRAILS impose hidden opportunity costs, stifle innovation, and erode institutional trust. This paper provides empirical evidence to conceptualize how digital technologies reconfigure entrepreneurship. Taking an inductive theory-building approach, we first examined the extant literature. Our research study utilised case studies and surveys. More than forty extensive interviews were conducted with experienced digital entrepreneurs (DEs). The analysis followed an iterative grounded theory approach. Entrepreneurship in underserved and Indigenous communities is shaped by significant barriers and unique opportunities, yet remains underexplored in the literature. This exploratory qualitative study employs semi-structured interviews with entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs in a Native American reservation context to investigate how entrepreneurial intentions evolve under significant constraints. Guided by Shapero’s Entrepreneurial Event model and the Push-Pull framework, the study explores how feasibility, desirability, displacement events, and varying motivations influence entrepreneurial action. Findings will advance understanding of rural and Indigenous entrepreneurship and provide implications for future empirical research, policy design, and community-based enterprise development.

We resolve splintered theorization of hope by developing a more reliable and valid measure of hope for the context of entrepreneurship. Based on the received view of hope we tested the social psychological hope scale (SPHS) against our entrepreneurship-contextual simple hope scale (SHS), which is based on a definition of hope that gets at what entrepreneurs mean by hope. Our findings help develop and support SHS as having greater reliability (internal and test-retest) and validity (face, convergent, and predictive) than SPHS. To employ a foreign national as a dentist in the U.S., a valid immigration status that permits employment is necessary, usually requiring employer sponsorship. The H-1B visa is the most common option, and requires the individual to hold a bachelor's degree and a state license for patient care. H-1Bs are limited in number, with far more applicants than available visas, and selections are made through a random electronic lottery every March. Exceptions to the cap exist for foreign nationals changing employers and those sponsored by cap-exempt institutions, such as universities, allowing private practices to “borrow” this status. Abstract

This study investigates how age moderates fan perceptions of artificial intelligence (AI) and dynamic ticket pricing (DTP) in professional sports. Using a mixed-method design, data was collected from a self-administered online survey (N = 57) and triangulated with secondary sources, including industry reports and academic literature. Survey participants were divided into four generational cohorts and responses were analyzed across three constructs: perceived fairness, accessibility, and willingness to pay.
