In this article, the king and poet Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur's work "Boburnoma" contains information on linguistics onomastics, in particular, toponymy, including the names of places in the Tashkent region, their memoirs in the context of the events of Babur's life. The reasons for naming place names with these names, the historical and etymological meaning of toponyms, the fact that today the term of place names given in the "Boburnoma" in the Tashkent region has undergone some changes are described on the basis of scientific sources.

Due to a lack of research on the topic and events of 2020, this thesis aims to learn how professors teach multicultural literature to traditional undergraduate students and how students respond to these courses. I focus on pedagogical scholarship that notes the structure, challenges, and impact of teaching this genre in K-12 and higher education classrooms. My conclusions provide educators with a repertoire of teaching strategies, materials, and student feedback to help students critically respond to living in a multicultural nation and world. The Film Adaptation As An Essay On Feminism In The Victorian Novel, Rylee Thomas

In this essay, I compare nineteenth-century novels to the film adaptations they inspired throughout history. Specifically, I examine how filmmakers amplify and detract from feminist themes present in the original works. To do this, I consider the film adaptation as an essay on the source text. No matter how directly a filmmaker attempts to transpose the narrative, the representation of narrative gaps within the source text will change. I theorize that these changes arise in tandem with cultural change, and that film adaptations of nineteenth-century novels that actively revise the text fall under the category of the essay film.

This article analyzes “comfort women” novels by the Korean American authors Therese Park, Nora Okja Keller, and Chang-rae Lee in terms of the ethics and aesthetics of representing sexual violence through language. I specifically look at these authors’ stylistic strategies to describe rape in writing and how they (more or less successfully) avoid voyeuristic portrayals of the “comfort women” by controlling the narrative point of view and relying on traumatic “speechlessness” and abjection. Building on relevant notions from the fields of photography, cinematography, philosophy, and psychoanalysis, this analysis suggests that in-progress representations of rape in language become a futile project …
