การแสดงเดี่ยวขับร้องระดับมหาบัณฑิตโดยชัญญา มณีวรรณ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อปรับใช้เทคนิคการขับร้องจากการขับร้องบทเพลงคลาสสิกไปสู่การขับร้องบทเพลงจากละครเพลง โดย แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ช่วง ประกอบด้วย 1) บทเพลงคลาสสิกทั้งหมด 7 บท โดยเริ่มตั้งแต่บทเพลงในลีลา เบล คานโต (Bel canto) หรือการขับร้องเสนาะ (ณัชชา พันธุ์เจริญ, 2552) และบทเพลงสำหรับ โคโรราตูราโซปราโน (Coloratura Soprano) จนถึงเพลงจากจุลอุปรากร (Operetta) และ 2) บทเพลงจากละครเพลง (Musical Theatre) ทั้งหมด 5 บท โดยได้ศึกษาทั้งประวัติความเป็นมาของทั้งบทเพลงและผู้ประพันธ์ และมุ่งเน้นไปที่การวิเคราะห์บทประพันธ์และเทคนิคการขับร้องโดยเฉพาะ ซึ่งเป็นส่วนสำคัญตามวัตถุประสงค์ที่วางไว้ เพื่อหาข้อมูลในการปรับใช้เทคนิค การขับร้องทั้งสองลีลาและการนำไปใช้ในวิชาชีพของตนให้เกิดประโยชน์ผ่านการวิจัยในครั้งนี้

การแสดงเดี่ยวขับร้องระดับมหาบัณฑิตโดย กมลพร คงจินดา จัดทำขึ้นภายใต้แก่นเรื่อง Moonlit Serenade: A Journey of Love โดยนำเสนอบทเพลงจำนวน 12 บท ซึ่งแบ่งออกเป็น บทเพลงอาเรีย 5 บท บทเพลงร้องศิลป์ 4 บท และบทเพลงจากละครเพลง 3 บท บทเพลงทั้งหมดถูก ร้อยเรียงเป็น 3 ช่วง ถ่ายทอดเส้นทางของความรักตั้งแต่ความสุข ความเศร้า ไปจนถึงการปล่อยวาง การเลือกบทเพลงจากหลากหลายแนวและยุคสมัย ครอบคลุมช่วงเวลาทางดนตรีและแนวทางการขับร้องที่แตกต่างกัน ส่งผลให้ผู้วิจัยได้ฝึกฝนทักษะทั้งด้านเทคนิค ตลอดจนฝึกการตีความบทเพลงตามบริบท ทางวัฒนธรรมและอารมณ์อย่างลึกซึ้ง ผ่านกระบวนการวิเคราะห์ ฝึกซ้อม และการแสดงจริง วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้จึงไม่เพียงเป็นการแสดงออกทางศิลปะ แต่ยังเป็นการเรียนรู้ที่พัฒนาความเข้าใจในบทเพลงหลากหลายประเภท ซึ่งสามารถต่อยอดในเชิงวิชาชีพด้านการขับร้องและการสอนในอนาคต

งานวิจัยเรื่อง สาระของเพลงทะแย เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสำคัญ บทบาท และหน้าที่ของเพลงทะแยทั้ง 8 บทเพลง และเพื่อศึกษาโครงสร้าง กลุ่มเสียงปัญจมูล กระสวนจังหวะของสำนวนและวิเคราะห์บทเพลงให้ปรากฏซึ่งสาระของเพลงทะแย ผลการวิจัยแบ่งเป็น 2 ส่วนคือ ส่วนที่ 1 คือ บทบาทและความสำคัญของเพลงทะแย จำแนกเป็น 4 บทบาท ได้แก่ บทบาทในพระราชพิธี ใช้เพลงทะแยกลองโยนประกอบริ้วขบวน พระเกียรติยศ บทบาทในการฝึกหัดดนตรีไทย ใช้ฝึกไล่มือ บทบาทเพื่อการแสดง เป็นการนำเพลงทะแยไปใช้ในการประกอบการแสดงและบทบาทเพื่อความบันเทิง ผลการวิจัยส่วนที่ 2 คือ สาระของเพลงทะแย แบ่งเป็น 6 ประการ คือ ประการที่ 1 ความคลี่คลายของบทเพลง พบ 5 รูปแบบ ประการที่ 2 การซ้ำทำนอง เพลงทะแยปรากฏการบรรเลงซ้ำที่เป็นปัจเจกโดยเฉพาะในท่อนที่ 2 ประการที่ 3 การปรากฏสำเนียงมอญแท้และสำเนียงมอญแฝง ประการที่ 4 การรับร้องที่มีระเบียบวิธีเฉพาะตน ประการที่ 5 การซ่อนเงื่อนกลุ่มเสียงปัญจมูล ประการที่ 6 การวางลูกตกอย่างมีจุดมุ่งหมาย เพลงทะแยจึงแสดงถึงการประพันธ์เพลงที่แยบยลคมคาย เป็นบทเพลงที่ทรงคุณค่า บรรจุองค์ความรู้ขั้นสูงทางด้านดุริยางคศิลป์

งานวิจัยเรื่อง การสืบทอดวงปี่พาทย์มอญคณะ ศ.บุตรห่านฟ้า มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา 1) มูลบทและประวัติความเป็นมาของวงปี่พาทย์มอญคณะ ศ.บุตรห่านฟ้า 2) บทเพลงสำคัญและ การสืบทอดของวงปี่พาทย์มอญคณะ ศ.บุตรห่านฟ้า จากการศึกษาพบว่า วงปี่พาทย์มอญคณะ ศ.บุตรห่านฟ้า เดิมชื่อ “ห่านฟ้าดนตรีไทย” ก่อตั้งโดยครูสำเริง พงษ์สมบูรณ์ ชาวจังหวัดนครนายก ผู้มีความเชี่ยวชาญด้านระนาดเอก ต่อมาได้ย้ายมาจัดตั้งวงที่จังหวัดชลบุรี รับแสดงในงานต่าง ๆ เช่น งานศพ งานบวช และงานลิเก โดยถ่ายทอดความรู้ให้ บุตรหลานและลูกศิษย์ จนสามารถประกอบอาชีพนักดนตรี และเกิดการสืบทอดต่อเนื่องถึง 3 ยุค ได้แก่ ยุคของนางพิศ พงษ์สมบูรณ์ นายศุภฤกษ์ พงษ์สมบูรณ์ และนายศรัณย์ พงษ์สมบูรณ์ โดยใช้ชื่อวงว่า “ศ.บุตรห่านฟ้า” ปัจจุบันวงยังคงดำเนินกิจกรรมดนตรีอย่างต่อเนื่อง พร้อมทั้งมีการปรับรูปแบบให้สอดคล้องกับยุคสมัย เช่น การเลือกบทเพลงใหม่ การจัดวางเครื่องดนตรีให้มีความสวยงาม และการตกแต่งด้วยไฟ LED รวมถึงการประชาสัมพันธ์ผ่านช่องทางต่าง ๆ ด้านการสืบทอด ครูสำเริงใช้วิธีถ่ายทอดแบบมุขปาฐะ ต่อมาในยุคนายศุภฤกษ์ มีการแบ่งผู้เรียนเป็น 2 กลุ่ม คือ ผู้เริ่มต้นใหม่และผู้มีพื้นฐาน โดยทุกคนต้องฝากตัวเป็นศิษย์ เพลงสำคัญที่ใช้ในการเรียนการสอนมี 3 เพลง คือ เพลงมอญแม่ครู เพลงมอญแน และเพลงสาธุการ ซึ่งใช้บันไดเสียงทาง เพียงออบนและเพียงออล่าง มีการดำเนินทำนองที่หลากหลาย และสะท้อนเอกลักษณ์ของวงได้อย่างชัดเจน

Strategies For Implementing Improvisational Music Therapy For Adults With Depression : A Scoping Review, Renjie Wu

Depression affects over 280 million people worldwide, and some individuals are resistant to verbal-based therapies, prompting interest in non-pharmacological approaches such as improvisational music therapy (IMT). This scoping review aimed to map and synthesize existing strategies used by music therapists when implementing IMT for adults with depressive symptoms. Following Arksey and O’Malley’s framework, we searched five electronic databases (Scopus, PubMed, APA PsycArticles, ERIC, EBSCOhost) and hand‑searched eight music therapy journals for English‑language studies published between 2000 and 2025. Fourteen studies (2008–2024)—including eight randomized controlled trials, five mixed‑methods investigations, and one qualitative process evaluation—met inclusion criteria. Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often have difficulties in communication, including expressive and receptive language, social interaction, and nonverbal communication. Music therapy has been found to enhance communicative development in this population. This scoping review aims to summarise music therapy interventions documented in clinical studies that target the improvement of communication skills in children with ASD, and to identify the specific techniques used to address communication-related subskills. Imposing damaging stereotypes on Black women has persisted throughout American culture, specifically within hip-hop. To analyze modern depictions of Black women in hip-hop, I will trace the historical roots of these stereotypes including, but not limited to, angry Black woman, jezebel, sapphire, and how they have persisted in modern media. Since the 1960’s, there has been a circular exchange of musical elements and genre-creation between Black[1]musicians in America and the German band Kraftwerk. The effects of deindustrialization, population decline, and white flight in Detroit, coupled with the presence of the city’s Black inhabitants during the 1960’s and 70’s, created the conditions for a breakthrough of genre in American music. In turn, Kraftwerk’s auditory presence in America, and particularly in Detroit, became a particular influence on the developing electronic music genre of Detroit Techno. The symphony orchestra industry in the United States was founded with the goal of serving the elite, but these orchestras are organized as not-for-profit organizations and are currently mandated to benefit the community more broadly. Professional symphony orchestras in the United States are beginning to address this disconnect between their elite-oriented origins and the more modern federal mandate of community-oriented service in a variety of ways, including through community engagement programming. There are a number of items that remain unknown, including the impact that environmental factors have on orchestras’ community-oriented work, and what “community engagement” means to orchestras.

Brighter Days is a musical composition for choir, solo voice, and guitar, depicting the stages of an emotional journey through five separate movements. Each movement represents a different set of feelings, exploring themes of frustration, perseverance, hope, elation, and other sentiments. The movements are interconnected, employing key relationships and cross-references throughout the work. Musical styles vary, and genres are blended to create tonal landscapes that are both unique and accessible. Brighter Days is an expressive new work about finding light in darkness and coming to terms with oneself.

Previous research performed with mother–infant dyads has demonstrated that infant–directed singing may make significant contributions to mother–infant attachment, may reduce infant stress, reduce maternal stress, assist mothers and babies with emotional regulation, improve mother–infant interactions, prevent colic, and improve infant sleep. Despite these benefit potentials, parents of today are much less likely to sing to their infants than parents of previous generations. Attendance of postnatal lullaby education programs has been associated with increased maternal singing at home and confidence in their parenting role. The Department of Music Theory at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University recently joined many other institutions across North America in reimagining our undergraduate curriculum. Following practices more commonly found in the nonprofit sector, we began this undertaking by crafting mission, vision, and values statements. These newly articulated ideals for our department then served as a polestar, effectively guiding the rest of the curriculum review and revision. The process we effected created an environment that facilitated creative thinking while simultaneously engendering clear consensus among our colleagues.

In this article, I outline a possible use of social media platforms in the music theory and ear-training classroom using a model assignment on (but not exclusive to) TikTok. I show how students can work collaboratively and musically in a platform they may use in everyday life to promote collaboration and engagement with musics and people outside the walls of the university. From this study, I extrapolate themes that illustrate both the benefits and pitfalls of social media use (pedagogically and otherwise). Ungrading In The Music Theory Classroom: A One-Year Case Study, David E. Orvek

In this paper, I present a summary of and critical reflection upon an alternative assessment practice known as “ungrading” that I used during the 2023–24 academic year. My version of the practice involved providing students with feedback without grades and letting students determine their own final grades through a process of guided self-assessment. Many students’ reactions to ungrading were positive. Some reported being able to focus on learning rather than grades, and even skeptical students admitted some benefits. Ungrading benefited me in various ways as a teacher, but there were challenges as well. Some students struggled with the lack of …
