Holt, a native of Breckinridge County, Kentucky, was Judge-Advocate General, U.S. Army, and prosecuted the conspirators involved in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. Also, 1972 correspondence related to the identity of The Berkshire Eagle’s editor in 1886.
