Nacogdoches and Community
The Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home was established in 1893 in Nacogdoches, Texas by the Cason and Monk families. The funeral home was incorporated in 1906 as Cason Monk & Co. It acquired the Branch Patton Funeral Home in 1946, and later in 1986 merged with the Oakley Metcalf Funeral Home. Currently known as Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, it is now operated by Dignity Memorial.
The funeral home’s records from 1900 through 1957 are available as a digital collection through the East Texas Research Center. It was the purpose of this project to compile information from these records into a database …

This article highlights the vast resources available in the Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University (BYU) for those conducting genealogical research. The BYU Family History Library and other library departments provide extensive collections of genealogical records in print and online as well as experienced librarians, missionaries, and staff to help genealogists find needed information about their ancestors.

La Créole - A Journal of Creole History & Genealogy
The Louisiana Creole Research Association, Inc., known as LA Creole, was founded on August 21, 2004 as a New Orleans-based, non-profit family research and educational organization. Its purpose is to assist Creoles of Color in researching their ancestry, to educate the general public about Creole history and culture, and to celebrate the contributions and legacy of a unique, sometimes forgotten people. La Créole, the Association’s journal is published annually.

Traces, the South Central Kentucky Genealogical Society's quarterly newsletter, was first published in 1973. The Society changed its name in 2016 to the Barren County Historical Society.
