Pachisi Go!: Making a Video Game Older Than Writing explores the process of recreating one of the world’s oldest board games as a modern digital experience using the Godot game engine. Beginning with minimal programming knowledge, this project focused on learning GDScript, experimenting with 2D and 3D design approaches, and translating traditional game mechanics into functional systems. Through iterative development, debugging, and problem-solving, a working prototype was created while addressing challenges such as scope limitations and mechanical accuracy. Although the game was not fully completed, the project emphasizes growth through failure, demonstrating how experimentation and adaptability are essential to game …

Belle Époque French Fashion: Understanding French Clothing Labels In Historical American Media, Meg E. Smith
Scholars Week
A period of French prosperity know as the Belle Epoque followed the Franco-Prussain War from 1871-1914. Within this time, Parisian Fashion would blossom and flourish with couturiers, fashion designers, rising in fame and influence within textile and clothing markets. Credit to this prosperity can be given to the second industrial revolution, the end of a long depression, and a dominating industry of luxury market goods production in tandem with a sharp increase in foreign trade. Foreign media, such as American newspapers, would display the array of reactions to the success of Parisian styles. Retail progression and the commercialization of leisure …

Improving User Experience And Functionality: The Redesign Of Sorora In React Native*, Katherine A. Arroyo, Oswin S. Shin
Campus Research Month
This project redesigned and extended Sorora, a safety-focused mobile application built in React Native. The original Android Minimum Viable Product (MVP) included location tracking, an SOS button, and a basic contact list, but the interface lacked clarity, and the feature set created friction during urgent situations. We improved the UI and UX using Nielsen's usability heuristics, reduced navigation complexity, and redesigned the emergency workflow for deliberate, fast interaction.

Redesigning A Fitness App Interface For Physiological Constrained Users*, Joseph E. Manzanillo
Campus Research Month
As fitness tracking converges with medical monitoring, inclusive design becomes a matter of health equity. This research utilizes a Polar Beat redesign to address exclusionary "sporty" aesthetics that can exclude 300 million colorblind users. Based in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), the study implements WCAG AA standards and color-blind-verified filters to mitigate data loss during Situational Induced Impairment (SIID), when high-intensity exercise compromises cognitive and visual processing. By optimizing user journeys for Paralympic and geriatric archetypes, this work demonstrates that accessibility is the essential bridge transitioning mobile fitness apps into viable, inclusive instruments for clinical medical use.

Harriet Hosmer: Femininity And Stone, Savannah V. Parrish
Undergraduate Theses
Harriet Hosmer was an American woman sculptor who studied in Rome, Italy, from 1853 to 1900. Hosmer led her own cohort of women artists and inspired other artists in Rome. Hosmer’s sculptures and the controversies surrounding them exemplify her experiences as a career woman of her time. Hosmer made sculptures of women who defied the will of men, both mythical and historical. Hosmer’s sculptures show how she felt restricted in the world, particularly in the field of sculpture as a woman and how like the figures of her sculptures she found freedom in stone, where she could tell the stories …

Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan
The low learning outcomes of grade VII students in the three domains in learning dance elements are one of them due to the dominance of conventional methods. This type of research is Kemmis and McTaggart Class Action Research (CAR) which consists of planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The research ran for two cycles with the subjects of grade VII students of SMPN 14 Bandung City for the 2025/2026 school year. Data collection techniques through observation and learning outcome tests. Data analysis used descriptive statistics in the form of average values and classical completeness. The application of VARK-based differentiation …
