I have been fascinated by the processes of traditional hand printmaking techniques. (Relief, Lithography, Collagraph and Etching). Comics have also been a passion of mine for over ten years. I wanted to combine these two passions, comics and printmaking, into one work of art. It is a joy to create worlds and stories that people can dive into, engage with, and enjoy. This paper describes the process, production, and explanation of Art of Darkness, an artistic expression of the struggle with anxiety. All of the work is inspired by literature and art from the English Romantic and Victorian eras, and focuses on quotes about the mind, emotions, and other thought processes. As each piece highlights a different aspect of anxiety, it also portrays the struggles of anxiety through color palette, printing process, and symbolism. Paper making combines my proclivity towards using found materials and the need to produce my own painting supports. This first part of this thesis chronicles the reasons I arrived at paper as my chosen medium, the objects I began to produce, and the projects that stemmed from those early experiments. This class introduces students to unconventional photographic processes. Students will explore historic methods and materials that allow the extension of photographic imagery beyond the standard black and white or color print. A team of four people administers the UNL institutional repository (https://digitalcommons.unl.edu), which is one of the largest (109,000-plus full text items) and most-accessed (over 62,000,000 downloads) in the United States. The team also administers a robust library publishing program with over 80 scholarly monographs and 12 peer-reviewed journals. A recent focus of the program has been open educational resources, partnering with scholars to identify or create free online learning objects.

This book documents the paintings and drawings executed by Louis Agassiz Fuertes during the Field Museum of Natural History’s seven-month expedition to Ethiopia (Abyssinia) in 1926–27. During that time Fuertes completed 70 field watercolors that illustrate 55 species of birds and four species of mammals. He also executed 34 pencil drawings, which illustrate 13 species of mammals and 11 species of birds, plus numerous miscellaneous sketches and small watercolors. The development of the moveable-type press in the mid-fifteenth century led to the rise of a new industry, the manufacture and trade of printed books. Before this, written works existed as handwritten manuscripts individually produced by scribes.

The printing press allowed works such as the Malleus maleficarum and Fasciculus temporum contained within Portland State University’s codex to be produced in a significantly more efficient manner. Sonnichsen Special Collections Department of The University of Texas at El Paso Library to design this cover for El Paso Women's History Coloring Book Cover, Volume 2, A Women's Sufrage Centennial Project. The coloring book will soon be distributed to schools and libraries around the city of El Paso. During this process, I learned that the colors of the U.S. women’s suffrage movement were white, purple, and gold!

The report provides an overview of injury among American Indian and Alaska Native people living in New Mexico and Southwestern Colorado.
