The study aimed to evaluate the surface, mechanical, and biological properties of graphene oxide/silver nanocomposite (GO/Ag) coated NiTi alloy. Substrates were coated using the electrophoretic deposition at 30 V for 1, 5, and 10 min, and were characterized by scanning electron microscope, Raman spectroscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, surface profilometer, and atomic fluoroscope force microscopy (AFM). Hardness, modulus of elasticity, and friction were done and surface adhesion was measured from AFM. Biocompatibility testing was done on human gingival fibroblasts using 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. Data were analyzed using SPSS 16; One-way ANOVA with post hoc Scheffe Test (P = 0.05). …

Comparison Of Three Dimensional Accuracy For Surgical Guided Template Fabrication Using Two Different Implant Planning Software Programs, Natchaya Thitaphanich
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
Statement of problem: Static computer-assisted implantation system (s-CAIS) has been introduced to implant dentistry for decades. According to previous studies, they were recognised the inaccuracies of actual implant position placed via using static computer-assisted implantation system. These inaccuracies result from an accumulation of every step in the workflow from planning to accuracy assessment. Recently, there are multiple implant planning softwares available. coDiagnostiXTM software and Implant StudioTM software are widely used third-party implant planning softwares which claimed to provide predictable implant placement outcome. However, the effect of softwares used on accuracy of guided surgery in anterior maxilla region has not been …

Tlr3 Signaling Modulates Immunomodulatory Property Of Human Periodontal Ligament Stem Cells., Daneeya Chaikiawkeaw

Toll like receptor 3 (TLR3) is a member of TLR family functions to recognizes double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) produced by positive-strand RNA viruses and DNA virusesand generate signaling that stimulate body immune system against virus infection. However, recent evidence suggests that TLR3 signaling may also play a role in initiating the immunosuppressive property of the cells. Study on skin regeneration has shown the anti-inflammatory responses of keratinocytes required for wound healing andthe increasing number of hair follicle formation after TLR3 signaling was activated by fragment of RNA released from damaged cells. Moreover, activation of TLR3 signaling have shown to elicit a …

Effect Of Cyclic Tensile Force On The Expression Of Bone Morphogenetic Protein 9 And Interleukin 6 In Human Periodontal Ligament Cells, Yanee Tantilertanant
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
Periodontium is a specialized tissue laying between tooth and surrounding bone. It functions as force cushion. In particular stimulation including mechanical force, periodontal ligament (PDL) cells which are mechanosensitive cells have the ability to secrete specific cytokines and proteins. PDL cells also have the potential to differentiate into osteoblast-like cells or fibroblast-like cells. PDL cells perceive combination of force in oral cavity in which major component is cyclic tensile force (CTF). CTF play an essential role in modulating PDL cells to maintain both hard and soft tissue integrity. Here, we demonstrated that CTF was able to stimulate the expression of …
