Presentation summary: The speakers focused on signs and symptoms of TMD that may be familiar and many that are commonly overlooked. This insight provides an opportunity to better identify and treat patients suffering from TMD. Various treatment methodologies were discussed with an emphasis on the concept of neuromuscular dentistry. Neuromuscular treatment of TMD involves identifying the mandibular position that corresponds to relaxed muscles of the anterior temporalis, masseters, and sternocleidomastoids.
