Statement of problem. Performance of adhesive and resin luting cements used to bond zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate ceramics (ZLS) to dentin has not been well established. Purpose. To examine microshear bond strength (µSBS) of etch-and-rinse adhesive system, universal adhesive and self-adhesive resin cement that were used to bond ZLS to dentin. Material and Methods. Vita Suprinity® (VS, Vita Zahnfabrik) and Celtra® Duo (CD, Dentsply Sirona) blocks were sectioned into 36 and 72 microbars (1×1×3 mm3) respectively. This study was to assess the expression of Bcl2a1 and Cxcl9 genes in soft tissues covering bone grafted with demineralized freeze-dried bone allograft (DFDBA) and deproteinized bovine bone mineral (DBBM) in comparison with ones covering without grafting. The animals were randomly separated into three groups of treatment. Calvarial defect models were created on parietal bones. Bare defect models without bone graft as a control group. Purpose: This in vitro study evaluated fracture strengths and failure modes of thin occlusal onlays fabricated from direct resin composite, CAD/CAM polymer-infiltrated ceramic-network, and CAD/CAM lithium-disilicate glass ceramic under compressive loading. Materials and Methods: Forty extracted maxillary molars were prepared, including occlusal enamel and dentin removal, leaving two dentin slopes with peripheral enamel. Thirty teeth were restored with 0.6-mm-thick occlusal onlays using direct resin composite (Premise), CAD/CAM polymer-infiltrated ceramic-network (Vita Enamic), and CAD/CAM lithium-disilicate glass ceramic (IPS e.max CAD). Purpose: The purpose of this research was to explore the effectiveness of a student-led interprofessional education (IPE) workshop in improving student attitudes and perceptions toward IPE. Students from four health science programs including Dental Hygiene, Communication Sciences and Disorders/Speech and Hearing, Health Services Administration and Occupational Therapy participated in a community service event. Students provided screenings to veteran patients including a health history intake, hearing test, and sleep screening while other students observed.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed at investigating the relationships between health and work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) in dentists, and the relationship with socio-demographic, work and health variables. METHODS: We conducted a cross-sectional study of 204 dentists who work in public clinics in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. We used a self-administered survey that included questions on socio- demographic and health aspects, work-related factors, and the Nordic questionnaire. RESULTS: WMSDs were often reported in the neck, shoulder, lower back, and hand/wrists. Purpose: To investigate the effects of three novel experimental antibiotics on monospecies (Enterococcus faecalis) and polymicrobial (mixed) endodontic biofilms. Materials and Methods: Biofilms containing pure Enterococcus faecalis, as well as biofilms derived from mixed bacterial samples aspirated from inside the pulp spaces of necrotic human teeth, were grown onto slices of human dental in vitro. Biofilm formation capability was verified with SEM. The treatment groups consisted of 3 novel experimental antibiotics. 8.25% sodium hypochlorite and sterile saline were used as the controls.
