Objective: To determine the visual and spectrophotometric effect external tooth bleaching has on natural tooth structure and OMNiCHROMA composite at various number of treatments. Variables were compared to determine if there is a detectable difference between the composite and the tooth before and after bleaching.

Methods: Preparation and restoration of 25 previously extracted teeth was completed. OMNiCHROMA composite was used. Each tooth was measured visually with a VITA shade guide and a colorimeter. Aim: In an attempt to move toward exploration of the antibacterial properties of herbal products, this study evaluated the effect of how the addition of Moringa would affect the physical properties of the commercial Endofil sealer. Materials and Methods: An experimental in vitro study was performed using three experimental sealers. Purpose. To examine fatigue failure load value of etch-and-rinse and self-adhesive luting systems used to bond ZLS to dentin. Moreover, this study seeks to evaluate whether the application of unfilled resin on silanated ceramic intaglio surface could improve fatigue failure load value. Methods. Vita Suprinity (VS, Vita Zahnfabrik) blocks were sectioned into cylindrical shape (5 mm in diameter and 1.5 mm in height). This clinical study aims to determine differences in lipstick stains between ceramic veneers and natural teeth. Types of lipsticks affected lipstick stains on ceramic veneers and natural teeth were also investigated. A total of 30 patients were divided into two groups: ceramic-veneer (CV) group and natural-teeth (NT) group with 15 patients in each group. Seven lipstick types: Gloss & Balm, Gloss & Sheer, Cream, Liquid matte, Matte & Frost, Satin, and Matte were applied on patients’ lips. Purpose: To evaluate the effect of a desensitizing toothpaste, containing calcium sodium phosphosilicate, on microtensile bond strength of adhesive systems treated to dentine. Methods: Fifty-two human third molars were embedded into acrylic resin, and cut to expose flat dentin surface. Removal of zirconia crowns, commonly used as cement-retained implant fixed restorations, can be challenging. Conventional methods of crown removal are time consuming and often leave irreparable damage to the crown, which can be costly to patients and practitioners. This research explored the use of two different types of pulsed erbium lasers, erbium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet laser (Er:YAG) and erbium, chromium-doped yttrium, scandium, gallium and garnet (Er,Cr:YSGG), as non-invasive tools to retrieve cemented zirconia crowns from zirconia implant abutments. Enterococcus faecalis can withstand harsh environmental conditions in the root canal and cause a secondary infection. Myrmecodia pendens is an herbal medicine rich in polyphenol compounds that have antibacterial, antioxidant, and anticancer properties. Objectives: To analyze the effects of M. pendens fraction combination on the sensitivity of E. faecalis. Methods: The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was determined using a serial microdilution method, and the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) was determined by adding the test sample to sterile Mueler Hinton agar medium. The relationship between orthodontic bracket systems and external root resorption has remained debatable. Objective: This study compared the magnitude and pattern of the external root resorption of maxillary incisors as induced by self-ligating and conventional bracket systems via cone beam computed tomography and medical imaging programs. Methods: Eight participants were recruited for each bracket system. Their maxillary incisors were scanned at the beginning (T0) and 18 months into treatment (T1). Recently, miniscrew implants have been used as a strategy to treat skeletal Class II patients. Objective: This report illustrates a skeletal Class II malocclusion management combining straight wire technique and miniscrew implant anchorage. The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the efficacy of a glass ionomer varnish in preventing demineralization of enamel adjacent to and some distance away from an orthodontic bracket. Forty extracted human molars were divided into four different treatment groups (varnish in distilled water, varnish in acetic acid, enamel in acetic acid, and enamel in distilled water). Objective To evaluate the efficacy of a dissolvable strip containing 15% w/w calcium sodium phosphosilicate (CSPS) (Novamin®) in providing rapid relief from dentine hypersensitivity (DH). Methods In this examiner-blind, proof-of-principle study, 120 healthy adults with DH were randomized 1:1 to the Test strip, professionally applied to facial surfaces of two selected teeth, or to No treatment. Sensitivity was assessed at baseline and 10 min, 2 h and 4 h post-application in response to evaporative (air) and tactile stimuli (measured by Schiff sensitivity scale/a numeric rating scale and tactile threshold, respectively). When treating patients with existing restorations in which indirect restoration placement is indicated and crown lengthening surgery is contraindicated, dentists may choose to finish the crown margin on an existing restoration. The interface between the two dental restorations (resin composite and ceramic crown) may be more susceptible to microleakage and fluid staining, reducing restoration longevity.
