How Libraries Responded In The Early Days Of The Pandemic: A Study Of The Lis Literature, Jane Kinkus Yatcilla, Sarah Young

As we emerge from an unprecedented pandemic that saw closure of libraries, schools, and universities worldwide, we can begin to assess potential lasting impacts on institutions, professions and communities. Through a rapid bibliometric study of COVID-19-related library publishing, we provide a first glimpse into the impacts of the pandemic on library operations, services, collections, and the workforce. We identified and analyzed 237 journal articles published in 2020 about libraries and the pandemic. These articles indicate broad cross-sectoral, global impacts on libraries and librarianship. Our analysis provides a baseline for future research on lasting effects of the pandemic on the field.

Authorship Pattern Of Library Philosophy And Practice Journal: A Bibliometrics Analysis, Deep Kumar Kirtania

The main purpose of the study is to identify the pattern of authorship and collaborative nature of Library Philosophy and Practice journal during 2001 to 2020. Bibliographic data were collected from 2008 articles through the Lens database, based on the key areas of authorship studies such as authorship pattern, number of authors etc. The study found that Degree of Collaboration (DC), Collaborative Coefficient (CC) and Collaborative Index (CI) of these articles were 0.63, 0.36 and 1.93 respectively, which clearly indicate that the authorship trend is towards the shared or joint authorship in Library Philosophy and Practice journal.

This study aims to reveal the impact of repository service quality on student motivation in using research services at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Purwokerto. Contributors to online crowdsourcing systems generally work independently on pieces of the product but in some cases, task interdependencies may require collaboration to develop a final product. These collaborations though take a distinctive form because of the nature of crowdsourced work. Collaboration may be implicit instead of explicit. In this paper, Bibliometric Survey has been carried out on ‘Load Flow Solution of Distribution Systems’ from 2012 to 2021. Scopus database has been used for the analysis. There were total 1711 documents found on this topic. The statistical analysis is carried out source wise, year wise, area wise, Country wise, University wise, author wise, and based on funding agency. The present study was conducted to examine the accessibility and corrosion of web references cited in articles of DESIDOC Journal of Library & Information Technology. A total of 1921 web references cited in 273 articles for five years from 2014-2018 were identified and checked to test their accessibility in terms of decay and persistence. Nearly 23.31% web references disappeared with passage of time. The results revealed that older the age of URL references, higher the percentage of inactive URL references. This paper sought to determine the implementation of curbside/book pick-up services within South African University libraries. This study seeks to quantify South African university libraries that use curbside book pick-up services during the COVID-19 pandemic

The study employed a quantitative approach where informetrics has been used as the primary data collection method to analyse the implementation of curbside/book pick-up services on the web pages of 26 South African University Libraries.
