This article considers the way in which positionality shifts and is formed during a cross-cultural study to reveal the complexity of the insider-outsider status. As a researcher in a male-dominated game setting, I reflect on the research process and my interactions with participants to show the interplay of space, context, and identity in shaping a researcher’s status. I discuss the process of gaining access to the research site and participants, and data collection in relation to space, context, and identity. This paper presents the findings of a study on the impact of COVID-19 misinformation and the role of information professionals in fighting this scourge. A quantitative research approach was deployed to collect data from Google scholar database and analysed via Statistical Package for Social Sciences. The study established that with regard to misinformation on the origins of COVID-19, 21 (44%) sources claimed that the disease originated from Wuhan city market. Results further revealed that concerning the impact of misinformation on the individual, social withdrawal, vulnerability and death (15, 48.4%) were the main impacts. The purpose of this study was to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the Resource Description and Access (RDA) research in library and information science journals in Web of Science. Two hundred and fifty-eight journal articles related to RDA were extracted from Web of Science for analysis for the period between 2006 and 2020. A descriptive analysis of the most productive authors, institutions, countries, and journals and the most cited authors was conducted. The study investigated the library services and use of information resources as influencing factors on effective research by postgraduate students in two Nigerian Universities. The study adopted a descriptive survey designed, questionnaire was used for the data collection. A total of 250 questionnaire were distributed across the two universities using the simple random sampling technique while 216 copies retrieved were used for the analysis. The study observed that factors influencing library use have a negative and significant association (r = -0.248, n =142, p< 0.05) with challenges faced when using the library and a positive significant association (r = 0.256, n = 139, p < 0.05) with postgraduate students use of university library. The study also found out that postgraduate students use of university library have a positive and insignificant relationship ( = 0.042, 0.378, p> 0.05) with intensity of library information resources but show a positive and significant relationship ( 0.231, …

Recommendations for programming for public libraries to build bridges with fire educators are offered, along with ideas on how to display materials that might describe what important papers should be in go-bags, how to drive out of a wildfire, and how to have a game plan for home, work, daycare, kids, and critters. Provincial and state specific resources will be included in a pathfinder, along with a selection of titles of books, articles, and websites about fire awareness.

This paper presents the findings of a research study into the “love of books” trope in Library and Information Science. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 23 MLIS students between February and August of 2019. Interview questions were designed to elicit motivations for entering the field and taking the degree. The study findings show that students’ decisions are animated by a love of books and reading, a love of libraries, and by a desire to work with and serve others. Utah State University Libraries Cataloging and Metadata Services unit investigated the discoverability of local Encoded Archival Description (EAD) finding aids using different levels of description. The research team created two nearly identical versions of the same finding aid for five collections and posted them online. The only difference in the finding aids was the level to which the collection contents were described. For each collection, one version of the finding aid was described at the file (box or folder) level and the other version was described at the item level.
