Introduction: The study focussed on the various dimensional constructs of information literacy in using electronic information resources. The research aimed to unravel the relationship between information literacy skills and the use of electronic information resources. The complexity of electronic information resources requires that one possesses information literacy skills to effectively and efficiently use electronic information resources.
Methodology: A descriptive survey approach was employed for this study using quantitative method of data collection. The data were analysed using SPSS. The purpose of this study is to present University of Calabar statistics and functional areas using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The process of using a GIS is faceted and involves different methods of presentation. The development of web search engines has provided an alternative for undergraduates to access the needed information for their research activities without utilising library resources, especially reference sources. This avenue created by web search engines is viewed by some as detrimental, as undergraduates now display apathy towards the use of reference sources, even though web search engines have their own limitations. Google Scholar (GS) is the only available global database for the citation analysis of Indian LIS journals. The present study is an attempt to highlight the citation output of research articles in DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology (DJLIT) published during the period 2006–2015. This study is based on Google Scholar data. Descriptive and inferential statistical techniques were applied in the study. 406 articles were published during 2006–2015, which were cited 4122 times in Google Scholar. Based on Google Scholar, this study proves that the citation output of articles published in the DJLIT differs significantly with their publication year. …

This paper discusses colorectal cancer research output in Asian during 2000- 2017. The data has been downloaded from PubMed databases. A total of 2726 articles were found. Language distribution shows a majority of the papers are published in the English language 2661 (97.61%) irrespective of the native language of the country and those publications were in the form of journal articles i.e. 2225 (81.62%). The authorship pattern indicates the maximum number of papers was published by collaborative work of more than ten authors for which the mean value of Degree of Collaboration is 0.84 indicating the high ratio of collaborative …

This study examined the sustainability of Library Open Source Software (with particular reference to KOHA) in Nigerian academic and research Libraries. Descriptive survey design was adopted with a total number of thirty five (35) libraries which were selected purposefully all over the six (6) geopolitical zones of Nigeria (twenty universities, both privates and publics, ten Polytechnics, and five colleges of education). Structure Questionnaire was used to generate data and this was analyzed using simple frequency and percentage.
