The Texas Heart Institute Film Collection contains 277 reels of 16mm film and 86 videotapes. It consists of final distributed films as well as work prints, camera original footage, and other production elements. Video tapes of film transfers can also be found in the collection The majority of films were produced within the Texas Medical Center. This collection contains films related to heart surgery at the Texas Medical Center, primarily during the 1960s and 1970s. Films are typically instructional with brief surgical and case histories at the beginning. The films follow the surgery step-by-step with voice over narration and diagrams …

The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

Gottfried Keller And The Fictionalization Of Switzerland, Richard Hacken

Gottfried Keller was one of the best-known 19th-century Swiss authors of literary realism. This article compares and contrasts socioeconomic conditions of the Swiss during the Industrial Revolution with those of a counterfeit Switzerland that Keller fictionalized into a decalogy (10 thematically connected novellas) called "The People of Seldwyla." The most frequently quoted titles of the cycle are "A Village Romeo and Juliet" and "Clothes Make the Man."

This study attempts to discover the barriers that international music students encounter when using the library and conducting research at North American academic institutions. To these ends we implemented multiple semi-structured interviews. Most studies that have been conducted about international students and information literacy employ a survey, but other qualitative means of study reveal important insights into the needs of this population. In-depth qualitative research that explores the experiences of international music students has the potential to cultivate better understanding of this phenomenon so that music librarians and faculty can more effectively serve this distinct population.

Elizabeth Briscoe Wilson served as Lincoln University Library Director at Inman E. Page Library from 1988 to 2010; the longest tenure of that position in the history of the institution. Born in Salina, Kansas, Mrs. Wilson graduated from Lincoln University in 1965 and then earned a Masters in Library Science from Alabama A&M. After serving at schools worldwide, she returned to Lincoln as a reference librarian and became the Library Director in 1988. Elizabeth led the crusade to build a new library on the Lincoln campus to replace the original Page Library facility. The new modern building opened in 1997. …

Lorraine Graham put the name of Lincoln University in the spotlight during the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. Graham, a native of Manchester, Jamaica, set many national high school track records before coming to Lincoln in 1995 on a track scholarship. Majoring in Criminal Justice, she went on to set NCAA Division II records in the 400 meter indoor and as a member of the 4 x 400 meter indoor relay. Debra served in the Missouri National Guard and was employed with the Missouri State Archives and Department of Economic Development before coming to Lincoln University in 1996. While at Lincoln, Dr. Greene served in several capacities, including Professor, President of the Faculty Senate, Interim Provost and Interim VP-Academic Affairs.
