Soft computing paves way many applications including medical informatics. Decision support system has gained a major attention that will aid medical practitioners to diagnose diseases. Diabetes mellitus is hereditary disease that might result in major heart disease. This research work aims to propose a soft computing mechanism named Improved Evolutionary Support Vector Machine classifier for CAHD risk prediction among diabetes patients. The attribute selection mechanism is attempted to build with the classifier in order to reduce the misclassification error rate of the conventional support vector machine classifier. SU Libraries are developing a programmatic approach to information literacy.
By aligning SUL’s information literacy student learning outcomes with relevant outcomes in academic programs, the information literacy librarian can be strategic in moving the program forward. The alignment was completed by analyzing all program learning outcomes in Tk20 for themes related to information literacy knowledge practices and dispositions articulated by the SU Libraries Information Literacy program.

Archivists and archival collections can often be siloed into the “special” corner of their parent library: under described, underutilized, and often even unknown. Finding a path out of isolation may require taking a new look at collection management needs and considering new partners in the work. Collaboration with colleagues can result in positive ripple effects that extend beyond the initial project goals. This session will highlight three innovative description projects where archivists partnered with non-archivists to improve access to targeted collections and will detail how their collaborations transformed their archival collections, work structures and relationships, and, ultimately, their users. As part of a larger panel on unlikely collaborations in the archives profession, this presentation focused on the development of the internship program at the Rayfield Archives, the partnerships formed with the Rayfield Archives, Illinois State University Department of History, and the Second Presbyterian Church in Bloomington, Illinois, and internship opportunities developed for students.

This paper presents a bibliometric study of the journal "Veterinary World" during the year 2008-2017. The year wise distribution of papers, authorship pattern, institution-wise distribution, length of the papers, type of the document published, international authored contributions and citation etc., of the journal have been taken for this study. The total number of documents published during the period has been 1954 and they have been pulled out from Scopus database. The highest number of publications registered in 2016 (250 articles, 12.79%) and the lowest was in 2008 (132 articles, 6.76%). The annual average growth rate of 7.32% and the highest …

This paper describes the unique characteristics of the religious clergy community. It assesses the amount of information and behavior research available on this population. It provides a clear description of the main research theme(s) emerging from the review of the literature. It examines selected theory used currently as a lens to examine the religious clergy population, and gaps about this population are revealed. The theory of Library Anxiety was discussed to address a specific gap in information behavior and provide a useful lens towards new research aimed at the population of religious clergy in North America.

The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

Purpose: The study was carried out with an aim to understand the mobile reading behaviour among the millennials of the state of Tripura.
Methodology: The questionnaire having 35 questions was administered to 120 under graduate students of different departments from Govt. Degree College, Khumulwng and Ramakrishna Mahavidyalay. Out of 120 students, 82 have responded from Govt. Degree College, Khumulwng and the response rate is 68%. Out of 120 students, 80 have responded from Ramakrishna Mahavidyalay and the response rate is 66.66%.

The pilot study investigated the integration of information communication and technology (ICT) with library instruction in Clifford University Owerrinta, Abia State, Nigeria. Total of 125 questionnaires were distributed and 110 questionnaires received back. In this Internet era, users have a number of options to fulfill their information needs. They need not come physically to the library to use print formats but can stay at home or the office and access online a variety of library resources and services via networks or authentication methods at any time.

The Miami food scene - including restaurants, breweries, bakeries, and distilleries - is in a state unlike any it has experienced before. Fueled by innovators in cuisine and tangible public excitement, it is an unprecedented time in terms of both quantity and quality for South Floridians to eat and drink. The Miami Craft Brewery Collection effort within the Special Collections hopes to document and celebrate the rise of Craft Brewing in Miami through the collection of brewery documents, advertising ephemera, bottles/labels, actual beer, and oral histories from prominent leaders in the field.
