This research aims to the description of developing literacy digital education for youth. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subject research is youth internet users age between 17 – 25 years old. Youth are digital natives who use the internet range 3 hours until 7 hours a day. Digital literacy training consists of several stages following the model used. The first stage is related to knowledge about mass media. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to describe how an academic library at one of the most diverse universities in the country responded to the 2016 election through the newly formed Inclusion and Equity Committee and through student outreach. Design/methodology/approach: This paper details the context of the 2016 election and the role of social justice in librarianship. It offers ideas for how library diversity committees can address professional development, recruitment and retention efforts and cultural humility. The aim of the study was to know the usage of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the degree college libraries of Assam. For solving the research objectives, questionnaire, interview and observation method have been used to collect the primary data from the respondents. The findings of the study have shown that among the 126 college libraries surveyed, 55 libraries are fully automated and 67 are partially automated while 51 libraries have developed institutional repositories. The purpose of this paper is to describe how the student mentoring program at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) increased peer-to-peer services by collaborating with campus constituents to develop first-year experience program partnerships. This paper showcases CSUSB’s student mentoring program partnerships with Coyote First STEP, a summer transition program, and the Library Ambassador program initiative, and how these partnerships have evolved to engage virtually with students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper considers library programming as a means of extending and enhancing the academic library’s pedagogical mission and role in student success. Scholarly programming in the form of faculty speakers, film screenings, or other kinds of research-based events creates opportunities for students to join an academic community and to practice critical thinking skills learned in class. The MakerLab and the Emerging Technology and Experiential Learning Unit team serves the Boise State University students, staff, and faculty. We offer access to emerging technologies, coaching on emerging technologies, and formal instruction on emerging technologies. This instruction session was developed to address an engineering professor’s concern that his students weren’t able to discern between factual and biased information. They weren’t evaluating the information they found, and readily accepted as truth anything pertinent to their research topic. While this plan was done in an elective civil engineering class, it could easily be adapted for any class using controversial and biased sources.

In January 1890, a week before Mary W. Howe and Helen F. Ryder were to graduate from the two year program at Bridgewater State, a fellow female student of the same class told school administration these two women, “early in their course,” had violated school regulations by going for a Sunday walk with two young men who were not students of the school. Results From A Psychology Oer Pilot Program: Faculty And Student Perceptions, Cost Savings, And Academic Outcomes, Juliana Magro, Sara V. Tabaei

Touro University Libraries Publications and Research

This case study describes the library’s experience of collaborating with an undergraduate Psychology Department at Touro College to integrate open textbooks into their program. We discuss the pedagogical changes as well as explore the impact of Open Educational Resources (OER) on students’ savings, their academic outcomes and perceptions of OER. Furthermore, we highlight the successes and shortcomings in having the library as a central OER partner. To measure the results, we surveyed students and conducted a faculty survey and a focus group, in addition to analyzing the students’ final grades. This pilot program delivered strong results.
