The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the use of virtual social networks and the non-syllabus studies of students at Payame Noor University in Izeh city of Iran. The research is purposeful and applied in terms of survey method. Out of 1200 students from Payame Noor University of Izeh city, 316 students were selected and analysed using Krejcie and Morgan's tables. Two questionnaires were used to collect the data of virtual networks and non-syllabus study. Background: Changes to our hospital’s performance review process required Clinical Nurse IIIs and IVs to complete an annual Evidence Based Practice (EBP) or Quality Improvement (QI) project in order to maintain or advance their status on the Clinical Ladder. Nurse Researcher met with Clinical Nurse IIs, IIIs and IVs to review the requirements and held Proposal Writing sessions to prepare nurses. Bibliographical details of research papers and papers citing them were analyzed to indentify the productivity and performance of faculty and research scholars of University of Mysore. Findings show Authors of University of Mysore have collaborated with most of the developed countries in the world. USA has the highest collaborative works followed by Japan. Further, Researcher has also attempted to know the publication productivity per author. Study revealed that publication productivity per author for 806 collaborative research papers is 0.1810.

The study is conducted with the purpose to determine the attitude, perception and the pattern of knowledge sharing among visually impaired students of Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. Appropriate pattern was formulated for data collection wherein schedule was used to gather data from 76 visually impaired students, the data so collected was analysed using SPSS (ver.23). The Health Sciences Library (HSL) at Stony Brook University along with the School of Medicine were motivated to make improvements in seating and hours based on survey results from an LCME self-study. Preparation for the site visit from the Liaison Committee for Medical Education helped to garner resources and support for this initiative. To meet the evolving needs of the HSL patrons, librarians completed an overdue collection assessment project which allowed for 142 new seats, including newly designed spaces and furnishings. Ongoing assessment of the redesigned space will be conducted to evaluate success and areas for continued improvement.

This guide to scholarly activities provides early- and mid-career health sciences librarians with a path to immersing in scholarly activities. The four levels walk librarians through increasing stages of scholarship. Early-career librarians will begin at the first level, navigating from discovering mentors and areas of research interest to level two, publishing a resource or book review and finding their first public speaking opportunity. More experienced librarians will find where they are on the path and continue to build their scholarship all the way to conducting and publishing original research and becoming leaders in their field.

Background: In 2017 a small liberal arts college affiliated with a large western health system was re-branded, and a School of Health Professions was created to prepare for future staffing shortages and to train the next generation of healthcare workers. Instead of relying solely upon its own library, University administration reached out to the health system library to meet the information needs of this new group of students, most of whom were active employees of the healthcare enterprise. Influence Of Work Engagement On Job Burnout Among Librarians In University Libraries In Nigeria, Adeyemi Adewale Akinola

The study investigated the influence of work engagement on job burnout among librarians in university libraries in Nigeria. The study employed survey research design. The population of the study consisted of 624 librarians from 38 public universities in Southern Nigeria. Total enumeration was used. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings revealed that work engagement significantly influenced job burnout of librarians in university libraries in Nigeria (β =.184, t(498) =4.191, R2 =.034, p<.05). The study concluded that work engagement contribute to low level of job burnout among librarians in universities in Nigeria and library management should maintain good work practice to prevent job burnout.

This paper analyses the 239 publications with more than 1000 citations indexed in SCI-Expanded of Web of Science under research area plant sciences. These publications have been written by 600 authors and from 224 institutes and universities across the world. There are 52 periodicals with impact factor ranging from 0.687-18.918 which published these articles. The most number of highly cited articles were published in Annual Review of Plant Physiology And Plant Molecular Biology (34). Authorship pattern indicates that 25 % of highly cited publications (61) have been written by single author. Two author publications is most prevalent with 90 publications. …

This paper mainly analyzes the Price square root law, Pareto principle, Publication Efficiency Index, Modified Collaborative coefficient, and Application of Lotka’s law in the Geese literature of India based on 94 publications indexed in Scopus database from 2008 to 2017. Value of Publication Efficiency Indices and Average citations per paper shows that the impact of Publication and Research effort in India is higher from the years 2009 to 2013. The study looked at the customer relationship management practices found among librarians in academic libraries in Delta State. Four research questions were raised to guide the study while the population of the study was 156 librarians. This study aimed to determine the level of the transcribing knowledge and skills of the academic librarians in Nueva Vizcaya. This study utilized quantitative research design using a test item method. The findings revealed that the academic librarians’ level of transcribing knowledge and skills in using RDA were found to be novice across the four domains namely: recording attributes of manifestations and items; recording attributes of works and expressions; recording attributes of person, family and corporate body; and recording relationships of persons, families and corporate bodies. This study is concerned about the study habits of secondary school students. The quality of education is enhanced when students have good study habits and make good use of the library. The study utilized quantitative method of research to determine the level of knowledge and skills of academic librarians in Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines on the five domains of research and the challenges they encountered relative to research writing. It also employed non-parametric Friedman test to determine the significant difference of librarians’ knowledge and skills across the five domains of research. Results revealed that the academic librarians had proficient knowledge in conceptualizing research problems, reviewing related literature and studies, and summarizing and formulating conclusions and recommendations while their level of knowledge in identifying appropriate research and writing analysis and interpretation of data …
