How Generating Pico And Clinical Questions From Pubmed Abstracts Challenges Instruction Of Pubmed Search Strategies To First-Year Dental Students, Peter Shipman
Southern Chapter/Medical Library Association Annual Conference
Objective To provide continuity in an evidence-based dental course the librarian led students to convert the course director’s PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome) and Clinical Question examples derived from PubMed abstracts to viable PubMed search strategies.
Methods With student participation, a new course director diagrammed PICO elements from eight PubMed abstracts with different research methodologies to construct Clinical Questions. During the next class, the librarian led students to build a search strategies from six Clinical Question examples with Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) and keywords. Frequently media reports draw attention to errors in published books and other publications. Sometimes the reports emanate from libraries and schools that bicker with suppliers of flawed publications. Notwithstanding much of the noise-related research in information science literature focus on noise within and around libraries and schools; and fail to explore the breadth and depth of this phenomenon described as communication noise. This study, therefore, aims to explore the breadth and depth of communication noise by identifying, describing and classifying the various types affecting information quality with a view to finding solutions to them. Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)
Ceramic polymer composites have gained a significant place in energy storage applications for electrical capacitors due to their distinguished properties. There is a huge demand of capacitors with high energy density, high dielectric strength, negligibly low dielectric loss, light weight, chemically less reactive in energy storage applications. These requirements can be fulfilled by ceramic polymer composites only which exhibit all the above-mentioned characteristics. Considering the huge demand of such capacitors, it has attracted the attention of researchers around the world. The present work attempts to summarise all the research conducted on Polymer Composites for energy storage applications and provides an …
