This article develops a concept of Virtue Information Literacy (VIL) modeled on the philosophical subfields of virtue ethics and virtue epistemology. VIL is an ethical, character-based approach analyzing information literacy through intellectual virtues and vices in order to cultivate such virtues with the goal of living a more flourishing life. All Musselman Library Staff Works

Musselman Library at Gettysburg College developed a Peer Research Mentor (PRM) program to expand the library’s formal research and instruction program. Designed and coordinated by a group of research and instruction librarians, the PRM program is built around a cohort of eight undergraduate students from a variety of class years and disciplines. Each PRM has a librarian supervisor. The PRMs participate in intensive training, provide reference service alongside professional librarians at the Research Help Desk, and develop outreach projects to better connect student patrons with library collections and services. The articles analyzed were as many as 150 documents using bibliometric analysis with the help of R Biblioshiny software. Purpose: This study examined the problems faced by the public of Pakistan. It also analyzed the demographic information of the libraries and further reviewed the designation, qualifications, and professional experience of the heads/in-charge of public libraries.

Research Methodology: The census-based survey was conducted, and data was collected from the 119 public libraries through the structured questionnaire. The collected data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (version-23) and both descriptive and inferential stats were applied to analyze the data and interpret the results.

How can medical librarians utilize emerging technologies to promote readership of Covid-19 related research from their institution?

This poster shows how librarians and staff at the Himmelfarb Library at George Washington University (GW) used the Digital Commons institutional repository (IR) platform to develop a subject-specific collection designed to collocate and promote COVID-19-related faculty research. In June 2020, we established a collection entitled “COVID-19 Publications by GW Authors” and since that time we have archived citations to over 100 publications. At the University of New Hampshire at Manchester (UNH Manchester), the librarians, the Center for Academic Enrichment (CAE) professional staff, and the First-Year Writing Program faculty established a rich collaboration for supporting undergraduate students throughout the research process. This effort was realized by adapting a highly effective peer-tutoring program, integrating basic information literacy instruction skills into the tutor training curriculum, and incorporating the peer tutors within library instruction classes and activities. This study explores the citation errors and level of reference accuracy in the Indian scientometric journal entitled, Journal of Scientometric Research (JSR). One hundred and seventy four journal citations appended in eight research articles appeared in the JSR, volume 9, issue 1, Jan-Apr, 2020, were checked meticulously by breaking them into seven bibliographic components, i.e. author(s) name, article title, journal name, year, volume and issue numbers, and pages (both first and last page); and they were matched with the original source articles. Results reveal that 44.25% (77) citations in JSR were erroneous and remaining 55.75% (97) citations were error free. …

Purpose - Measurement of information has long been studied for many years from different perspectives. Acknowledging this diversity, the article aims at reviewing approaches to the information measurement.

Design/methodology/approach – Literature review method was used to analyze and interpret main approaches of measuring information.

Findings - Logarithm, volume, syntax, probability and entropy, quantity, impact, value, and energy of information were identified and investigated in detail as the major approaches to the information measurement.

Originality/value - Discussing strengths and weaknesses of each approach, it concludes that a multi-dimensional approach would help us measure the information more accurate.
