"We Can Be Our Best Alliance": Resilient Health Information Practices Of Lgbtqia+ Individuals As A Buffering Response To Minority Stress, Valerie Lookingbill, A. Nick Vera, Travis L. Wagner, Vanessa L. Kitzie

This article examines the resilient health information practices of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) individuals as agentic forms of buffering against minority stressors. Informed by semi- structured interviews with 30 LGBTQIA+ community leaders from South Carolina, our findings demonstrate how LGBTQIA+ individuals engage in resilient health information practices and community-based resilience. Further, our findings suggest that LGBTQIA+ communities integrate externally produced stressors. These findings have implications for future research on minority stress and resiliency strategies, such as shifting from outreach to engagement and leveraging what communities are doing, rather than assuming they are lacking. The Internet can be a source of connection and support for teenagers on the autism spectrum. This study explores how teenagers on the autism spectrum who identify as library users spend time online by addressing the following research questions: How do teens on the autism spectrum participate in the online environment? And, how do teens on the autism spectrum make sense of social media? Quantitative and qualitative data was analyzed from nine participants, recruited through online discussion forums. Implications suggest a potential role for educators and librarians to offer opportunities and support in creating and building online connections.

COUNTER (Counting Online Usage of NeTworked Electronic Resources) Release 5 has brought many improvements to reporting usage of e-resources. This session covered the three main developments which are the ability to see both total and unique downloads, the default exclusion of Gold Open Access usage in Standard View reports, and the introduction of the Unique_Title metric for reporting e-book usage. Examples of the manner in which different types of e-journal and e-book usage are reported with the new metrics as well as recommendations for calculating cost per use were also provided. The promise of open access for the global South has not been fully met. Publishing is dominated by Northern publishers who disadvantage Southern authors through platform capitalism and open access models requiring article processing charges to publish. The South can reclaim and decolonize open access, nurturing scholarly communities, by employing bibliodiversity, a sustainable, anticolonial ethos and practice developed in Latin America. Self-determination and locality are at the core of bibliodiversity which rejects the domination of international, English-language journal publishing. Is “Just Googling It” Good Enough For First-Year Students?, Maureen Richards

This study analyzes citations by first-year students to determine what content they were citing and whether it was available through the open web or the library. Examining the role of these two places as content providers for academic work fills a gap in the literature. Most of the cited works were available through the library and the open web. As the line between content providers continues to blur, these results can help academic libraries prioritize what to teach students about information literacy, where to focus collection development efforts and how to promote the discovery of library resources.

Purpose: The purpose of the present study is to find research productivity on 'human migration in Himalayan region' from 1947 to 2019.

Methodology: The data of the present study have been collected from the International bibliographic database 'Scopus'. Total 582 documents were extracted from 282 sources for the Himalayan region (China, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Tajikistan, Myanmar, Bhutan, and Afghanistan) under the category of 'Social Science' for the period 1947-2019. Data analysis was conducted by using bibliometric software, namely RStudio's Biblioshiny and Microsoft office, version 2013.

The present scientometric study highlighted the contributions made by BRICS countries in the field of Greenhouse Effect research, as reflected in the SCOPUS database during the year 2014-2018. BRICS countries have contributed 1953 publications during this research period. China made the highest contribution of 62.93% (41,369) among the BRICS countries followed by India 277 publications. The highest account of records presented in Article (81.11%) followed by Conference Paper (7.63%).
