The study on ‘Single Author’ research analysis highlights the qualitative and quantitative aspects of research contributions made by Nobel Laureate Arnold FH in the field of chemical sciences for the directed evolution of enzymes. During her productive career 1980-2021, she has produced a count of 355 (273 journal articles) publications with 30644 citations were retrieved from Scopus database. The present study includes the analysis of research contributions made by Arnold FH with the bibliometric techniques and her role in the advancement of chemical science in the world. Targeted instruction that teaches international students about plagiarism is an important service that academic libraries can offer. Offering such instruction as an asynchronous, online workshop has distinct benefits in terms of flexibility and ease of learning, but it must be designed with the needs of international students in mind. This study describes one library’s online anti-plagiarism workshop, as well as the results of a qualitative study to determine how such a workshop can best be designed to meet the needs of international students.

This University Libraries Faculty Assembly Covid-19 Impact Statement serves as documentation of changes that occurred across University Libraries and caused disparate, inequitable, impact to faculty throughout the pandemic, beginning in March 2020 and spanning into 2021. The document is necessarily limited in scope to assist faculty candidates in the tenure-track process and mitigate potential traumas as a result of the pandemic’s impact on that process. The structure of the tenure-track process is imperfect in nature, and this statement takes a trauma-informed, person-first, approach to investigating how to best support candidates in making their case for contract renewal, tenure, and/or promotion.

The volume of unique digital assets that need to be managed and preserved by the California State University (CSU) Libraries has increased exponentially over the last decade, a trend that is likely to continue in the years ahead. While some CSU campus libraries have implemented tools such as digital asset management systems (DAMS) to gain greater control and management over their digital assets, many campuses still lack access to a DAMS and the management functions they support. The Authors Alliance Partner Program (A2P2; https://www.authorsalliance.org/a2p2/) is a recent addition to the educational content from the Authors Alliance. This nonprofit advocacy organization aims “to advance the interests of authors who want to serve the public good by sharing their creations broadly.” And this new initiative provides prêt-à-porter instructional material with the express purpose of supporting the scaling of rights–related programming—a goal that distinguishes A2P2 from other well-established and deeply valuable copyright-focused resources (Authors Alliance, 2020). The transition to a more unified discovery environment that encompasses both traditional library catalog content along with articles, streaming media, institutional repository content, and other additional resources, has resulted in changes to the management of library resources and the research experience. A survey was conducted to assess librarian’s and library personnel’s attitude toward and experience with the inclusion of this additional content in their discovery tools’ search results, as well as to learn what content is being searched and who is involved in maintaining these systems. In this article, we take a look at how a group of Michigan teachers perceive the value of the knowledge gained in a graduate certificate program towards school library certification compared to their prior knowledge and level of importance they assigned to the learning standards.

The article describes different academic libraries' responses to the pandemic through their websites, as their site administrators reflect on the changes that occurred during an evolving emergency situation and an anything but-normal start to a new academic year. It mentions that the situation in the New York City area was rapidly deteriorating, as an increasing number of COVID-19 cases were confirmed.

This session features a librarian and faculty member sharing their collaboration on the “Visual Research Task,” which is an assignment designed to provide information literacy instruction with an emphasis on visual resources to theatre majors in a course on collaborative theatre production. Students are given a scenario in which they act as the assistant to a theatrical designer, working with limited information, must assemble a curated portfolio of ten images to support the design or conceptualization for a theatrical design, with descriptions and citations. Our culture is dominated by digital documents in ways that are easy to overlook. These documents have changed our worldviews about science and have raised our expectations of them as tools for knowledge justification. This article explores the complexities surrounding the digital document by revisiting Michael Polanyi’s theory of tacit knowledge—the idea that “we can know more than we can tell.” The theory presents to us a dilemma: if we can know more than we can tell, then this means that the communication of science via the document as a primary form of telling will always be incomplete. An Empirical Study Of The Use Of Tools And Technologies For Knowledge Sharing In Development Organisations In Kenya, Peter Gatiti

This paper presents findings from research conducted with development organisations in Kenya, concentrating on using ICT tools and technologies for knowledge sharing. Development organisations of different sizes and operating in various sectors were examined in a large-scale online survey. The study examines the application of a set of technologies, including ICT tools, social media tools, and collaborative tools. The study also considered the strategies employed by the development organisations in enhancing knowledge sharing. The data collected was in quantitative form, and therefore the analysis followed quantitative techniques, including descriptive and inferential statistics.

This paper analysis the research output of the faculty, staff and researchers affiliated to the Aga Khan University (AKU) Medical College, Pakistan from 1st January 2010 to 31st December 2019. The paper maps AKU research by analyzing publications by authors with Aga Khan University institutional affiliation that are indexed in Scopus, a citation database of the peer-reviewed literature. Researchers rely on data from Web of Science, Scopus and Google Scholar to assess scholarly communication. In the middle of March 2020, an undergraduate English class from the University of Dayton visited the Marian Library for hands-on learning with primary source materials related to miraculous cures at the Lourdes shrine in France. Students in the upper-level seminar course that focused on narrative, rhetoric, and medicine prepared for the visit by reading an article about the baths at Lourdes, where thousands of pilgrims have traveled annually since the 1870s for a chance to be cured by the holy water from a spring.1 As students examined photographs, copies of case files, and historical narrative accounts, several of them …

This program was an open discussion for consortium members on two main topics: the changes in services that should be retained post-COVID-19; and changes in outreach due to COVID-19 and how they will affect future outreach practices.
