Trends In Content Development And Licensing Of Electronic Resources, Christina Geuther, Casey D. Hoeve, Faye O'Reilly

Academic libraries face the dual challenges of decreasing budgets and increasing demand for electronic resources. Librarians at three Midwestern US public research universities discuss the electronic resources environment, the direction of content development, and using future-proof as well as future-driven licensing language to best provide for the needs of today’s library collections decisions. Trends are discussed in both content development areas and the negotiated license framework. This article offers pragmatic approaches to answer current questions for electronic resources librarians as they experience inflation increases and the greater Serials Crisis while still looking to build access to their digital investments.

The present qualitative study is aimed to explore the needed competencies of library and information educators in Pakistan during changing times. Data were collected by employing qualitative approach. In depth-interviews were conducted with17 faculty members to explore their perceptions about the knowledge areas and skills required to be competent enough for deliver quality education to future information breed. The findings put forward various competencies needed for library and information educators including (i) subject knowledge and skills, (ii) IT knowledge and skills, (iii) instructional skills, (iv) research skills and (v) managerial, leadership and social skills. Introduction. This study examined the pattern of publications in the Journal of Management and Research, University of Management and Technology, Lahore, from 2014 to 2020.

Objectives. The study was carried out to know the year-wise distribution of publications, citations per year, most cited papers, gender-wise distribution, authorship Pattern, length of articles, number of references, geographical affiliation, and institution-wise contribution of publications.

The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

Purpose: This qualitative study explores how discursive power shapes South Carolina LGBTQIA+ communities' health information practices and how participants resist this power. Design/methodology/approach: Twenty-eight LGBTQIA+ community leaders from South Carolina engaged in semi-structured interviews and information worlds mapping – a participatory arts-based elicitation technique – to capture the context underlying how they and their communities create, seek, use, and share health information. We focus on the information worlds maps for this paper, employing situational analysis – a discourse analytic method for visual data – to analyze them. It identifies the number of patents with inventors from the various departments; the number of unique inventors in each department; and the college affiliations of the inventors; their inter- and extra-collegiate collaborators from campus and their off-campus campus collaborators.

The data analyzed consisted of 441 indexed research publications. The data is then processed and analyzed using the R Bibliometric application to find out the bibliometric map of the development of Islamic economics and finance on Islamic microfinance. This study reflects the bibliometric analysis of 211 articles appeared in ‘JDoc’ from 2007 to 2011. Different parameters of bibliometrics such as the yearly distribution of publications; exponential growth rate, relative growth rate; doubling time of publications; authorship pattern; the degree of collaboration among authors; pagination pattern of publications; top ten keywords, countries, institutions & top ten most cited papers. The study reveals that the majorities of publications published in the ‘JDoc’ were research papers (87.05%) and rest were review papers (12.95%). This study aims to determine the impact of using personal digital devices (PDDs) on university students’ academic performance. A survey-based questionnaire was developed and used to collect data from 240 Masters students of final semester (16-years of education) enrolled in the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences, University of the Punjab, Lahore selected by proportional stratified sampling technique. The study concluded that the smart phones, mobile phones, laptops were frequently used PDDs by the students for the academic purposes. Further, attempts were also made to find out the most productive country, author, and institute in publishing literature on COVID-19. The data related study was retrieved from SCOPUS database. Various search strategies were used to retrieve publications on COVID-19 published between 1^st December 2019 and 22^nd June 2020. A total of 19,991 publications on COVID-19 were retrieved from the Scopus database.

This paper presents a scientometric analysis of the journal titled Authorship and Collaboration Pattern of Annals of Library and Information Studies Journal during 2009-2018: Scientometrics Mapping. The analysis focused on the distribution pattern of articles, author's productivity, collaboration pattern and Collaborative coefficient and citation impact over time. It showed that the highest 12.57% of articles were published in the year 2010. The majority of articles are double authored with 47.03% of the total contribution.
