Missing And Defective Identity Of Authors Cited In Library And Information Science Literature, Vishnu Kumar Gupta

The study explores the inaccuracies in the author names in journal references cited in five randomly selected theses in the subject of Library and Information Science (LIS) submitted to Banasthali University, Rajasthan, India during the period of 2012-2016, choosing one thesis per year. Five hundred and forty eight verifiable journal references appended in five LIS theses contained 924 cited authors. Findings show that 149 (16.13%) author names cited in 114 (20.8%) journal references were inaccurate. Furthermore, these 149 inaccurate author names contained 169 inaccuracies in both first name and surname. A sum of 49 errors (including 32 errors of missing …

The primary focus of this bibliometric survey is to distinguish the documents which have hypothesized and expanded on the effects of various socio-economic factors when it comes to the spread of the Coronavirus.

This survey does the evaluation on the 480 documents found. The United Kingdom of the Great Britain and United States have contributed the largest number of publications in this field of research followed closely by India and Italy.

This scientometric study investigates the current state of various studies on the Islamic moral economy published by journals equipped with a digital-object-identifier. The analysis is focused on descriptions of the characteristics and trends of keywords, authors and journals. The data analyzed were 182 research publications in Dimensi (https://dimension.ai). The search used to determine the research dataset was last updated on January 9, 2021. This study aimed to analyse the problems facing college libraries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. For conducting this research study, the researcher adopted a mixed-method research design. A literature-based questionnaire was administered amongst the 221 professional librarians serving in college libraries, in which 186 librarians responded to the questionnaire. The response rate of the study was 84%. To obtain in-depth information, qualitative research was conducted. Face-to-face semi-structured interviews were conducted of the 15 senior librarians and M. Objective: This study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis and scientific visualization of the contribution made by Iranians' authors in the Library Philosophy and Practice (LPP) from 2006 to 2019.

Material and Methods: This bibliometric analysis used Scopus database for retrieving data on all papers published by Iranians in LPP during the study time span. VOSviewer and Microsoft Excel software packages were used for data analysis.

The data were analyzed from 50 Scopus indexed research publications. This research studies the critical thinking skills of six teenagers in their final years of high school. It looks at the way those students use a set of cognitive skills in order to analyze scientific and pseudoscientific information available in online news articles. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with six students chosen according to their results in a questionnaire about interest in science topics. Results show a large gap between participants’ use of critical thinking skills. Most of these skills were mainly used for text comprehension, evoking general knowledge, numeracy, arguments assessment and production, and life skills (open-mindedness and metacognition). The …

Authors and institutions have no control over the publishing processes and lost the copyright on the works after publishing. The traditional model of publishing gives more financial commitment to authors. Self-publishing gives full control to the authors over the publishing processes.
