Reference management software is a handy tool for researchers. In this study, the researcher checked the awareness of research scholars of the Department of Library and Information science of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) and Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU). An online questionnaire was used for collecting data. The study's findings show that 97% of respondents are aware of the reference management software and Zotero are the most popular RMS among respondents. And most of the respondents are happy with the features which are offered by Reference management software.

The present study is a bibliometric analysis of the articles published in “Journal of Digital Library perspectives” during the year 2016 to 2020. This study examines mainly the authorship pattern, degree of collaboration, geographical distribution, and citation analysis. Results indicate that most of the papers are published by multiple authors and found 22.16% average citations per paper. The degree of collaboration is found to be 0.56. The (46.96%) USA is the highest contributor to the articles in the journal during the study period.
