The study presented in this paper has examined the research productivity, for the period 2004–2019, of four agricultural universities located in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The 4,120 research publications of these agricultural universities, as reflected in the publications-related output of the Indian Citation Index, were analysed to ascertain the growth and patterns in agricultural research. This study presented, among other things, the year-wise distribution of research productivity, co authorship index, and collaborative index, degree of collaboration, most prolific authors and top-ranked sources preferred by the agricultural faculty members for publishing their research output. I explained and demonstrated the process I came up with to use OCLC WMS to do an overlap analysis of the online journal titles that we subscribe to directly through EBSCO, i.e. our paid subscriptions, and the access we have to those titles through our databases, in order to identify subscribed titles that we could potentially cancel. This is timely since the EBSCO renewal process starts in early June.

This study attempted to evaluate the scholarly publications on COVID-19, social distance, physical distance, social isolation, and self-isolation employing the scientometric analysis technique from 2020 to 2021. The main purpose was to consolidate the published scholarship on the COVID-19 in the Web of Science indexed documents. A total of 635 publications were found. The results indicated that social distance and COVID-19 was the top topic along with the article as a type of document, and the majority were published in the English language in 2021. This study was carried out to develop core information sources in chemistry using citation analysis. A total of 85 theses submitted to the Department of Chemistry from 2010 to 2019 constituted the population. A bibliometric study was conducted using indicators such as types of cited sources, most cited journals, most cited books, age of cited journal and books and availability of cited journals and books in the university library. Objective – In this case study, an archivist and librarian teamed up to teach an introductory course on family history research for adult learners at their university’s lifelong learning centre. In response to students’ relative lack of digital skills, the instructors developed a new set of introductory skills that they believe are essential for genealogy research.

Methods – Authors conducted pre- and post-course surveys to determine student expectations and the extent to which the course met those expectations. Authors coded one of these surveys.

Scientometric evaluations have gained popularity in the academic and research fields over the last decade. The present study is a comprehensive scientometric evaluation of the Journal - Carbon. Carbon is a peer-reviewed international journal published by Elsevier and created in collaboration with the American Carbon Society. The author metrices, the applicability of Lotka’s Law and the word metrices in the output during the years 2016-2020 are attempted in this study. The results show that the journal is widely cited. The analysis of author metrices reiterates the extent of collaborative authorship in the journal.

This study examined the different link structures and web presence of agricultural digital repositories of Europe through webometric indicators. The Google search engine was used in this study to collect data. Different web impact factors and WISER index values have been calculated. The correlation between the WISER rank and Inlink impact factor of these websites is calculated. And found that CaSA NaRA occupied the first position with 90.2% SWIF presence amongst 89 digital agricultural repositories in Europe. During the summer of 2020, several members of the Cardozo Law Library collaborated to create a controlled vocabulary (CV) for LARC, our institutional repository. During the creation of this CV, there was no explicit intention to consider critical librarianship teachings while making decisions about what words “belonged” in the CV nor in drafting policies relating to the CV. This presentation will reflect on how beginning the project with critical librarianship in mind may have impacted the CV and will attempt to consider changes to the current policies to mitigate biases that are undoubtedly embedded in the CV as it stands.
