Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) are complex and rapidly growing public health challenges that require integrative, collaborative approaches. To meet this need, the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) of South Carolina, a state-funded partnership across multiple institutions, has embraced a team science model that brings together expertise from four key disciplines: neuroimaging-neurology, health sciences, molecular biology, and engineering. Importance Racial and ethnic disparities in postpartum readmission (PPR) remain a critical public health concern, with non-Hispanic Black individuals experiencing rates up to 3 times as high as non-Hispanic White individuals. This quality improvement project aimed to increase medication safety through the implementation of an electronic medication management system (EMMS) at a residential treatment center for women with substance use disorders.

Background: The facility previously relied on paper-based systems and was overseen by unlicensed personnel, which contributed to the frequent medication and documentation errors, delayed refills, inconsistent audits, and limited oversight. We theorize that cognitive impairment would be more prevalent in the older Hispanic community and would affect the levels of depression in both Hispanic and non-Hispanic Whites older adults. Coffee is among the most commonly consumed beverages worldwide, and its bioactive components, including caffeine, affect the cardiovascular system through multiple physiological mechanisms. Patients with cardiovascular disease are typically advised to limit coffee and caffeine consumption because of potential cardiovascular harm, but emerging research challenges this recommendation. This review evaluates recent evidence regarding consumption of whole coffee, caffeine, or decaffeinated coffee in adults with established cardiovascular disease. This study examines the relationship between selected socio-demographics and digital health literacy on diabetes knowledge among older adults in the United States.

Design

Cross-sectional study

Methods

The eHealth Literacy Scale and the Short Diabetes Knowledge Instrument were used. Descriptive statistics, Pearson’s r, point-biserial correlation coefficient, Kendall’s tau, ANOVA, and Poisson regression were used for data analysis.

Findings

The mean age was 71. The mean sum score for digital health literacy was 28.32 (SD = 7.95; range, 8–40), and the mean score for diabetes knowledge was 8.8 (SD = 2.3; range, 2–13). The education level, annual income, number of digital …

AIM: Camino a la Salud addresses diabetes in one of the most affected populations in San Joaquin County, older Hispanic adults and their caregivers. Hospital-acquired pressure Injuries (HAPIs) are a “never event” and a nursing quality indicator closely monitored by hospitals. Pressure injury prevention strategies have been widely researched and used to reduce HAPI rates; however, despite this research, HAPI rates, especially in the intensive care unit (ICU), remain high. Prevention is a complex, individualized process that requires nursing understanding and application. Wound, Ostomy, and Continence nurses (WOC nurses) are specially trained and certified in wound management and can provide tremendous clinical insight into risk and prevention factors. This integrative review examines whether WOC nurse rounding in the ICU reduces HAPI rates.

วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อเปรียบศึกษาผลของโปรแกรมการจัดการอาการร่วมกับการบริหารกาย-จิตแบบชี่กงต่ออาการเหนื่อยล้า นอนไม่หลับและอาการวิตกกังวล ในผู้ที่เป็นมะเร็งเต้านมที่ได้รับเคมีบำบัดแบบเสริม

รูปแบบการวิจัย: การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นงานวิจัยกึ่งทดลอง (Quasi Experimental Research)

วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้ที่เป็นมะเร็งเต้านมในระยะที่ 1-3 อายุตั้งแต่ 20 ปีขึ้นไป ได้รับยาเคมีบำบัดเสริม จำนวน 42 คน แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุม กลุ่มละ 21 คน กลุ่มควบคุมได้รับการพยาบาลตามปกติ ในขณะที่กลุ่มทดลองได้รับการพยาบาลตามปกติร่วมกับโปรแกรมการจัดการอาการร่วมกับการบริหารกาย-จิตแบบชี่กง ตามแนวคิดการจัดการอาการของ Dodd และคณะ (2001) และแนวคิดการบริหารกาย-จิตแบบชี่กง ของ เทอดศักดิ์ เดชคง (2545) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ 1.แบบบันทึกข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล 2. แบบบันทึกข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับโรคมะเร็ง 3. แบบประเมินอาการ ได้แก่ แบบประเมินอาการเหนื่อยล้า แบบประเมินอาการนอนไม่หลับ แบบประเมินอาการวิตกกังวล วิเคราะห์หาค่าความเที่ยงของเครื่องมือโดยหาค่าสัมประสิทธิ์อัลฟาครอนบาค ได้ค่าความเที่ยงเท่ากับ .96, .81, และ .80 ตามลำดับ และ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยหาค่าเฉลี่ย ร้อยละ ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และสถิติทดสอบที

รูปแบบการวิจัย: การวิจัยกึ่งทดลอง

วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้ป่วยจิตเภทและผู้ดูแลในชุมชนที่มารับบริการแผนกจิตเวชและยาเสพติดของโรงพยาบาลองครักษ์ จำนวน 40 คน จับคู่ให้มีลักษณะคล้ายคลึงกันด้วยอายุและเพศ เครื่องมือวิจัย ประกอบด้วย  1) โปรแกรมสุขภาพจิตศึกษาครอบครัวโดยบูรณาการกับแอปพลิเคชันไลน์  2) แบบวัดพฤติกรรมการใช้ยาตามเกณฑ์การรักษา  3) แบบวัดความรู้ความเข้าใจผู้ป่วยจิตเภทและผู้ดูแล เครื่องมือทุกชุดผ่านการตรวจสอบความตรงเนื้อหาโดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ  5 ท่าน สถิติที่ใช้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูล  ได้แก่  ค่าเฉลี่ย  ส่วนเบี่ยงแบบมาตรฐานและสถิติทดสอบที

ผลการศึกษา: 1) พฤติกรรมการใช้ยาตามเกณฑ์การรักษาของผู้ป่วยจิตเภทในชุมชนที่ได้รับโปรแกรมสุขภาพจิตศึกษาครอบครัวโดยบูรณาการกับแอปพลิเคชันไลน์สูงกว่าก่อนได้รับโปรแกรม อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิตที่ระดับ  .05

วัตถุประสงค์การวิจัย: เพื่อศึกษาผลของโปรแกรมการใช้น้ำมันหอมระเหย ต่อภาวะซึมเศร้าในผู้ป่วยภายหลังการเกิดภาวะกล้ามเนื้อหัวใจตายเฉียบพลัน

รูปแบบการวิจัย: วิจัยกึ่งทดลอง

วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้ป่วยที่มีภาวะกล้ามเนื้อหัวใจตายเฉียบพลันทั้งเพศชายและเพศหญิง อายุตั้งแต่ 20 ปีขึ้นไป ขณะเข้ารับการรักษาในหอผู้ป่วยวิกฤตโรคหัวใจและหลอดเลือด โรงพยาบาลพระมงกุฎเกล้า จำนวน 44 คน คัดเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างตามคุณสมบัติที่มีภาวะซึมเศร้าที่ได้รับการประเมินด้วยแบบคัดกรองภาวะซึมเศร้า แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มควบคุมและกลุ่มทดลองกลุ่มละ 22 คนคัดเลือกแบบเฉพาะเจาะจงจับคู่ให้มีความใกล้เคียงกัน ในเรื่องเพศ และอายุ กลุ่มควบคุมได้รับการพยาบาลปกติ ในขณะที่กลุ่มทดลองได้รับการพยาบาลปกติร่วมกับโปรแกรมการใช้น้ำมันหอมระเหย ระยะเวลา 4 สัปดาห์ เครื่องมือที่ใช้เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ แบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล แบบประเมินแบบสอบถามภาวะซึมเศร้า และ เครื่องมือกำกับการทดลอง คือ แบบบันทึกการใช้น้ำมันหอมระเหย มีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ของครอนบาค 0.82 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติบรรยายและสถิติ t-test

ผลการวิจัย: 1. คะแนนภาวะซึมเศร้าในกลุ่มทดลองหลังได้รับโปรแกรมการใช้น้ำมันหอมระเหยต่ำกว่าก่อนได้รับโปรแกรมการใช้น้ำมันหอมระเหย อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 2. คะแนนภาวะซึมเศร้าในกลุ่มทดลองต่ำกว่ากลุ่มควบคุมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
