This project aims to compare the effects of Dexmedetomidine and Propofol on breathing recovery in ICU patients who have been mechanically ventilated. Specifically, we want to find out whether one sedative is more likely than the other to lead to respiratory depression or reintubation after sedation is stopped. This systematic review evaluates the effectiveness of pharmacologic versus non-pharmacologic anxiety-relieving interventions, primarily focusing on the labor period. The PICOT question is: In perinatal patients, do non-pharmacologic anxiety-relieving measures, compared to pharmacologic anxiety-relieving measures, have a greater impact on ease of delivery and overall mental health during pregnancy and the perinatal period? The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted how restrictions on in-person interactions within long-term care homes (LTCHs) severely compromised social connectedness among older adults and their families. Background: Diabetes is a leading contributor to preventable hospital readmissions. These hospital readmissions often result from fragmented discharge planning, poor care coordination, and limited post-discharge support. At a 915-bed academic medical center in Southern California, the diabetes-related readmission rate was 13.3%, compared with 11.4% among patients without diabetes. This project aimed to develop an evidence-based Transition-to-Home (TTH) guideline for hospitalized patients with diabetes and evaluate the strength of its recommendations through multidisciplinary stakeholder review.

Introduction: In the United States, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. The American Cancer Society's 2007 guidelines (Onishi & Kataoka, 2020) and the American College of Radiology recommend that MRI screening, alongside annual mammography, be used for women at high risk for breast cancer (Lamb et al., 2023; Sardanelli et al., 2024). Currently, there are various screening models, and no standardized tool or national guideline exists for MRI screening in high-risk patients. However, 1 in 5 women in the United States have experienced rape or attempted rape, and for these survivors, labor can become re-traumatizing. Many report flashbacks, dissociation, and a sense of “being back in the rape” during childbirth. Background: Pregnancy increases a woman’s risk of experiencing intimate partner violence (IPV). Although healthcare visits typically increase during pregnancy, IPV screening is often overlooked, and many women remain unaware of available domestic violence resources.

Inpatient falls are a major patient safety concern, particularly in orthopedic units where mobility limitations, comorbidities, and postoperative factors elevate risk and contribute to preventable injury, longer hospital stays, and increased costs. ในยุคแห่งการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัล ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (Artificial Intelligence: AI) มิได้เป็นเพียงเครื่องมือที่ช่วยวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเท่านั้น แต่กำลังพลิกโฉมบทบาทของวิชาชีพพยาบาลอย่างรอบด้าน บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ผลกระทบของปัญญาประดิษฐ์ต่อบทบาทของพยาบาลระดับปฏิบัติการขึ้นไปผ่านกรอบแนวคิด 3 มิติ ได้แก่ มิติด้านการปฏิบัติงาน มิติด้านความสัมพันธ์และจริยธรรม และมิติด้าน อัตลักษณ์ทางวิชาชีพ  ผลการวิเคราะห์พบว่า มิติด้านการปฏิบัติงาน ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ปรับบทบาทพยาบาลจากผู้ปฏิบัติตามกระบวนการสู่ผู้วิเคราะห์และกำกับการใช้ข้อมูลเพื่อสนับสนุนการตัดสินใจทางคลินิกมิติด้านความสัมพันธ์และจริยธรรมแม้ปัญญาประดิษฐ์จะเพิ่มความแม่นยำในการประเมินและเฝ้าระวังภาวะสุขภาพแต่ยังมีข้อจำกัดในด้านความฉลาดทางอารมณ์ ซึ่งไม่สามารถทดแทนความเข้าอกเข้าใจ การสัมผัสและเอาใจใส่ต่อผู้ป่วยได้ สำหรับมิติด้านอัตลักษณ์ทางวิชาชีพ การประยุกต์ใช้ปัญญาประดิษฐ์นำไปสู่การปรับขอบเขตความเชี่ยวชาญของพยาบาลโดยจำเป็นต้องพัฒนาสมรรถนะด้านดิจิทัลและการคิดเชิงวิพากษ์ควบคู่กับการดูแลที่ยึดผู้ป่วยเป็นศูนย์กลาง บทความนี้เสนอแนวคิดว่า พยาบาลควรเป็นผู้ใช้ปัญญาประดิษฐ์อย่างมีวิจารณญาณ โดยยึดหลักแนวคิดการบูรณาการระหว่างศักยภาพมนุษย์และปัญญาประดิษฐ์เพื่อยกระดับบทบาทของพยาบาลให้ สามารถคิด วิเคราะห์ และสร้างนวัตกรรมการดูแลที่ผสมผสานระหว่างเทคโนโลยีและหัวใจของความเป็นมนุษย์ได้อย่างสมดุล

บทความวิชาการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสังเคราะห์บทบาทของพยาบาลในการป้องกันภาวะแทรกซ้อนและการฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพหัวใจในผู้ป่วยโรคกล้ามเนื้อหัวใจตายเฉียบพลันกลุ่มเสี่ยงต่ำภายหลังได้รับการรักษาด้วยการถ่างขยายหลอดเลือดหัวใจ โรคกล้ามเนื้อหัวใจตายเฉียบพลันเป็นภาวะที่รุนแรงที่สุดในกลุ่มอาการกล้ามเนื้อหัวใจขาดเลือดเฉียบพลัน เกิดจากการปริแตกของคราบไขมันบริเวณผนังหลอดเลือด ส่งผลให้เกิดการก่อตัวของลิ่มเลือดและการอุดตันของหลอดเลือดหัวใจ การรักษาด้วยการถ่างขยายหลอดเลือดหัวใจเป็นวิธีการรักษาที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูง ช่วยให้สามารถเปิดหลอดเลือดหัวใจได้อย่างรวดเร็ว โดยมีระยะเวลาเฉลี่ยตั้งแต่ผู้ป่วยมาถึงโรงพยาบาลจนสามารถเปิดหลอดเลือดหัวใจได้ประมาณ 54 นาที ส่งผลให้ความรุนแรงของโรคลดลง ผู้ป่วยฟื้นตัวได้เร็ว และมีระยะเวลาการนอนโรงพยาบาลสั้นลง ผู้ป่วยบางรายจึงสามารถจัดอยู่ในกลุ่มเสี่ยงต่ำและสามารถจำหน่ายออกจากโรงพยาบาลได้ภายใน 48–72 ชั่วโมง พยาบาลจึงมีบทบาทสำคัญในการดูแลผู้ป่วยตั้งแต่ระยะวิกฤตจนถึงระยะเตรียมความพร้อมก่อนจำหน่าย โดยการพยาบาลสามารถแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ระยะ ได้แก่ การป้องกันภาวะแทรกซ้อนใน 24 ชั่วโมงแรก การฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพหัวใจและการปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมเสี่ยงในช่วง 24–48 ชั่วโมง และการส่งเสริมการฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพหัวใจอย่างต่อเนื่องในช่วง 48–72 ชั่วโมง การดำเนินบทบาทของพยาบาลในแต่ละระยะมีส่วนสำคัญในการลดภาวะแทรกซ้อนส่งเสริมการฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพหัวใจ และเตรียมความพร้อมก่อนจำหน่ายจากโรงพยาบาล ซึ่งจะช่วยลดการกลับเป็นซ้ำของโรคและส่งเสริมคุณภาพการดูแลผู้ป่วยอย่างต่อเนื่อง
