The Intersection Of School-Based Leadership Practices And School Grades In The State Of Florida, Wendelynn A. Mcpherson

The purpose of this non-experimental, quantitative study was to examine to what degree 12 self-reported leadership behaviors were associated with and predictive of school grades in the state of Florida. The study participant sample was exclusively comprised of educational leaders from elementary schools located in Florida. In this descriptive study, elementary principals were surveyed to determine the frequency of leadership behaviors (independent variable) and school grades (dependent variable). Two research questions and hypotheses were posed to address the study’s research problem. In Honduras and other countries globally, there is a large gap to fill in school enrolment and attendance before the Sustainable Development Goal of universal quality education can be achieved. One method that has grown in popularity over the past couple of decades is the use of conditional cash transfer (CCT) programs, which serve to incentivize families in the relevant educational area of need. هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع تطبيق الإدارة الالكترونية في مؤسسات التعليم العالي السعودية من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس والإداريين فيها، وتحديد ما إذا كان هنالك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغيرات المؤهل العلمي، والخبرة، والدورات التدريبية في مجال تطبيق الإدارة الالكترونية، وكذلك التعرف على أهم معوقاتها. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (314) عضواً من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والإداريين أجابوا على أداة الدراسة وهي عبارة عن استبانة مكونة من (69) فقرة موزعة على أربعة مجالات. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج أهمها تحقق مستوى مرتفع من المهارات الحاسوبية الشخصية والإدارية لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس والإداريين، ودرجة موافقة …

ملخص:

هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى دور كليات التربية في جامعات محافظات غزة في تنمية ثقافة العمل التطوعي لدى طلبتها من وجهة نظرهم، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتم تطبيق استبانة مكونة من (28) فقرة على عينة الدراسة المكونة من (792) طالباً وطالبة من طلبة كلية التربية في كل من جامعة الأقصى وجامعة الأزهر، وتم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية الطبقية، خلال الفصل الدراسي الثاني للعام الجامعي 2014/2015م.

وقد كشفت النتائج أن المتوسط الحسابي الكلي لدور كليات التربية في تنمية ثقافة العمل التطوعي عند أفراد العينة قد بلغ (3.55) بنسبة مئوية قدرها(71.0%) بدرجة عالية، أما بالنسبة إلى مجالات الاستبانة فقد بلغ المتوسط الحسابي …

هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة درجة رضا المعلمين عن أدوار الإدارات المدرسية في المدارس الحكومية التابعة لمديرية التربية والتعليم في قباطية، والتعرف إلى دور بعض المتغيرات المتعلقة بالمعلمين (الجنس، والتخصص، وعدد سنوات الخدمة، والمرحلة الدراسية) بدرجة رضا المعلمين عن أدوار الإدارات المدرسية في المدارس الحكومية التابعة لمديرية التربية والتعليم في قباطية. واستخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم بناء استبانة مكونة من (71) فقرة، وقد تم التأكد من صدقها، وحساب معامل ثباتها، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (525) معلماً ومعلمة.

The purpose of this quantitative study is to understand the factors associated with student retention and matriculating from an Academic Preparatory Program to the undergraduate program at a university in Iraq. We used a logistic regression model to predict student’s probability of retention and maturation based on demographic and academic variables. We aim to ensure that institutions are identifying and implementing strategies to improve student success by first examining if the institutional enrollment approach is the best one for our students and institution. Northwest Journal of Teacher Education

This paper explores a Teacher Education faculty member’s approach in providing preservice teachers a holistic, antiracist preparation that includes prioritizing the hiring of Black and Brown faculty, teaching critical pedagogies, and providing diverse experiences to enhance their theoretical and classroom learning. Although research that explores the impact of race and education exists, more is needed if we are to deconstruct the impact of antiblackness in Teacher Education programs.

One of the most important issues in accessible science education is creating a laboratory workspace accessible to blind students or students with visual impairments (VI). Although these students are often provided access to the science lectures, they are usually denied full participation in hands-on laboratory work. Current solutions to this problem focus on providing special accommodations such as asking sighted lab partners to complete the hands-on work. In this paper, the question is explored of what policies, standards and practices are desirable to ensure that hardware, software and publications in the sciences and associated disciplines are created from the outset to be accessible to people with disabilities. Insight into this question can be obtained by considering the unique accessibility challenges that these materials pose, including complexities of notation, language, and graphical representation.

Rural Students' College Choice And The Impact Of Dual Enrollment Programs And College Cost, Elise J. Cain

New York Journal of Student Affairs

This article explores the college-choice processes of two college students who graduated high school from rural areas in New York State. Hossler and Gallagher’s (1987) three-stage model of the college-choice process was used as the theoretical framework for this study. To gain in-depth knowledge about students’ predisposition, search, and choice stages, narrative inquiry was employed. This article specifically highlights how dual enrollment courses played key roles within the college-choice processes of these students. These findings suggest that there is a need for additional education about college costs and dual enrollment programs for rural students and their families.

The strengths of female leadership are illustrated through the 400 year history of the Catholic Sisters of St. Joseph (CSSJ) and their commitment to their charism which focuses on unity, inclusion and relationship building. Within the colleges they established, the Sisters have demonstrated their commitment to collaboration in their many leadership positions - both formal and informal - within the academy.
