BACKGROUND: Care coordination aligns services and optimizes outcomes for children with traumatic brain injury (TBI), yet numerous obstacles can impede effective care coordination following a TBI.

OBJECTIVE: The goal of this work is to identify barriers and facilitators to care coordination from the perspective of individuals who care for young people impacted by TBI.

METHODS: Twenty-one care providers participated in semi-structured interviews to gather their perspectives on systems of care coordination for youth with TBI and potential areas for improvement. Using reflexive thematic analysis, researchers identified key themes across interviews.

Evidence-based practice (EBP) offers school librarians a systematic process for developing, assessing, and revising their school library programs. Two of the seven steps in this process involve collecting and sharing meaningful evidence with appropriate stakeholders, often for advocacy purposes, strategically selecting communication channels and methods aligned with target audiences. Through a survey collecting both quantitative and qualitative data, 161 school librarians in Kentucky, Virginia, and Texas shared their experiences with evidence-based practice. The study reported here focuses on school librarians’ evidence collection and sharing practices. The purpose of this basic qualitative study was to explore K–12 administrators’ perceptions of the challenges faced in using leadership practices and strategies that promote culturally responsive learning environments in an urban school district. These tools are for instruction, communication, and storing and analyzing student information. Student data can be directory information, enrollment records, achievement data, and student-created products. In the wake of society’s reinvigorated consciousness around structural and systemic racism, conversations centering justice, equity, inclusion, access, and cultural diversification are going far beyond political discourse. Contemporary fundraising practices are also challenging antiquated hegemonic ways of philanthropy and are critically examining the practice from within. Among many things, this entails diversifying the historically White-female dominated fundraising workforce. In this, fundraising literature has paid minimal attention to intercultural/cross-racial dynamics as implications of diversification of the fundraiser workforce. We report findings from an interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) study of transgender and gender non-conforming (TGNC) participants’ perceptions of their on-campus experiences. Participants reported their lived experiences of campus culture in the Deep South. The data was viewed through a minority stress framework. Four major themes emerged: a) supports for students; b) barriers for students; c) undergoing personal change; and d) influencing systemic change.

Collaboration between academic and student affairs professionals is an important means of increasing student success; however, historical divides between these units have made implementation of these efforts challenging. This quantitative study sought to evaluate the perceptions of faculty and student affairs staff towards collaborative efforts and toward one another within a single campus of a comprehensive regional university within the southeast. Findings show that while both faculty and staff value collaborations and believe they positively impact student success, these units do not experience equitable voice and responsibility within collaborative efforts when conducted. Colleges and universities across the United States face continual pressure to meet enrollment and retention goals, as budgets in this performance-based environment continue to become more important. On-campus student involvement, such as in undergraduate leadership development programs, has been shown to have a positive influence on both student retention and success. A survey was utilized to examine leadership self-efficacy and engagement of undergraduate students that participated in campus-based leadership development programs and explore some motivators (contributing factors) and barriers (detracting factors) to involvement in those programs. This study is aimed at understanding the circumstances that contribute to teacher retention and attrition in urban schools in the Southwestern United States. Harris et al. (2019) reported that at the national level, 16% of all teachers attrit yearly. Attrition contributes to the increasing teacher shortage problem that many districts face. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษากรอบแนวคิดการบริหารโรงเรียน และทักษะอาชีพในอนาคต 2) ศึกษาความต้องการจําเป็นของการพัฒนาการบริหารโรงเรียนเอกชนตามแนวคิดทักษะอาชีพในอนาคต 3) พัฒนานวัตกรรมการบริหารโรงเรียนเอกชนตามแนวคิดทักษะอาชีพในอนาคต โดยใช้การวิจัยแบบผสมวิธีพหุระยะ แบ่งเป็น 3 ระยะตามวัตถุประสงค์ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ โรงเรียนเอกชนระดับประถมศึกษาปีที่ 1-6 สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการศึกษาเอกชน จำนวน 348 โรงเรียน ผู้ให้ข้อมูลทั้งสิ้น 1,398 คน ประกอบด้วย กลุ่มผู้บริหาร ได้แก่ ผู้อำนวยการ และรองผู้อำนวยการ โรงเรียนละ 2 คน และกลุ่มครูผู้สอน โรงเรียนละ 3 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบประเมิน แบบสอบถาม และแบบสัมภาษณ์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการคํานวณ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การวิเคราะห์ความต้องการจําเป็น และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) กรอบแนวคิดการบริหารโรงเรียน ประกอบด้วย (1) การบริหารงานวิชาการ ได้แก่ การพัฒนาหลักสูตร การจัดการเรียนการสอน การวัดและประเมินผล (2) การบริหารงานทั่วไป ได้แก่ การจัดพื้นที่การเรียนรู้ และการจัดเทคโนโลยีเพื่อการศึกษา กรอบแนวคิดทักษะอาชีพในอนาคตมี 5 ทักษะหลัก 18 ทักษะย่อย ได้แก่ ทักษะทางกายภาพและการปฏิบัติ ทักษะทางปัญญาขั้นพื้นฐาน ทักษะทางปัญญาขั้นสูง ทักษะทางสังคมและอารมณ์ ทักษะทางเทคโนโลยี 2) ความต้องการจำเป็นของการพัฒนาการบริหารโรงเรียนเอกชนตามแนวคิดทักษะอาชีพในอนาคต พบว่าการบริหารงานวิชาการมีความต้องการจำเป็นสูงกว่าการบริหารงานทั่วไป (1) การบริหารงานวิชาการ ด้านที่มีความต้องการจําเป็นสูงที่สุดคือ ด้านการวัดและประเมินผล ด้านการพัฒนาหลักสูตร และด้านการจัดการเรียนการสอน ตามลำดับ ทักษะอาชีพในอนาคตที่มีความต้องการจำเป็นสูงที่สุดคือ ทักษะทางปัญญาขั้นสูง ทักษะทางกายภาพและการปฏิบัติ ทักษะทางเทคโนโลยี ทักษะทางอารมณ์และสังคม และทักษะทางปัญญาขั้นพื้นฐาน ตามลำดับ (2) การบริหารงานทั่วไป ด้านที่มีความต้องการจําเป็นสูงที่สุดคือ ด้านการจัดพื้นที่การเรียนรู้ และด้านการจัดเทคโนโลยีเพื่อการศึกษา ตามลำดับ โดยทักษะที่มีความต้องการจําเป็นสูงที่สุดคือ ทักษะทางปัญญาขั้นสูง ทักษะทางกายภาพและการปฏิบัติ ทักษะทางอารมณ์และสังคม …

Eight semesters of qualitative data, collected over four academic years, are presented from a project that resulted in the development of a student professional learning community of high-achieving, low-income engineering and engineering technology student veterans. In the context of this project, student veterans received academic, professional, and financial support that helped them to be successful in school and to prepare them for a career in the STEM workforce. This phenomenological qualitative study explores students’ experiences navigating test-optional admissions when applying to post-secondary education. This thesis examines how test-optional admissions influence students' admissions decisions. The recent policy changes in college admissions practices raise questions about student experiences when making decisions when regarding test-optional admissions. First, this study explores the factors that go into a student’s decision on whether to submit test scores in their college application.
