In a plenary address at the 2023 NCHC annual conference in Chicago, the former Vice Chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee issued a challenge for honors students and educators to use their voices and positions of local leadership to promote peace. It sports an uplifted tree of life insignia on the front and a list of the 12 national parks that hosted our programs that year. This dissertation examines the impact of performance-based funding (PBF) policies on institutional financial priorities at 2-and 4-year colleges and universities. PBF is a policy mechanism used by states to incentivize higher education institutions to achieve specific performance outcomes, such as increased graduation and retention rates, by tying a portion of institutional funding to these outcomes. This research aims to determine the efficacy of PBF policies on institutional change and outcomes. Purpose: Today, increased attention has been placed on the healthcare industry and its workers in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic. This study aimed to examine the various aspects of instructional coaching in educational environments and offer a thorough understanding of the impact on teacher growth in a small, rural school district with 90 certified teachers and four district instructional coaches. The study used a quantitative approach that utilizes pre-post assessments to gauge the influence of instructional coaching on many aspects of teacher development, such as high-impact instructional practices, classroom management, and overall pedagogical effectiveness. The development of in situ resource utilization (ISRU) for metal extraction is imperative as a steppingstone for habitation construction in lunar and non-terrestrial environments. Separation of minerals by chemical composition is important to optimize metal and oxygen liberation from lunar ore. To this effect, devices capable of separating aluminum bearing minerals from iron-bearing minerals from the lunar regolith simulants have been developed. Twenty-eight different simulants have been used in this study. A dual-belt separator was designed to reduce middling. Para-magnetic minerals were reliably separated using a neodymium N52-magnet-separator system. Effective separation of aluminum-bearing minerals from iron-bearing minerals was greater than …

In pursuit of sustainable resource utilization on the Moon, this paper delves into modeling and characterization of particle size distribution (PSD) of lunar regolith simulants in an electrostatic system. A prototype electrostatic sieve was built and tested with four sample simulants mirroring properties of lunar mare and highland regolith. An alternating four-phase (90 degrees, 180 degrees, 270 degrees, 360 degrees) traveling square-wave was utilized for particle-directed transport to model the diverse trajectories of the particles. Numerically, we scrutinized how the distribution functions of the particles are manifested as the electrostatic field propagates, with a focus on three distinct particle ranges …

Based on several national mandates, this essay examines the support for and importance of active advocacy among our discipline members in framing the conversation about oral communication proficiency, leading instructional design, and assessing student learning on our campuses. Recommended action involves the development and implementation of a coordinated strategy for engaging both institutional accreditors and those charged with the development and modification of individual campus general education requirements regarding the importance of communication scholars and instructors as principal designers of learning goals, subsequent learning activities, and the corresponding assessment of oral communication instruction on college campuses.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษากรอบแนวคิดการบริหารวิชาการและกรอบแนวคิดทักษะแบบตัวทีของนักเรียนสำหรับโรงเรียนประถมศึกษา สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร 2) เพื่อศึกษาระดับทักษะแบบตัวทีของนักเรียนประถมศึกษา สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร 3) เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการจำเป็นในการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการที่ส่งเสริมทักษะแบบตัวทีของนักเรียน สำหรับโรงเรียนประถมศึกษา สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานครและ 4) เพื่อพัฒนานวัตกรรมการบริหารวิชาการที่ส่งเสริมทักษะแบบตัวทีของนักเรียนสำหรับโรงเรียนประถมศึกษา สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร โดยใช้การวิจัยแบบผสมวิธีพหุระยะ (Multiphase Mixed Method Design) แบ่งเป็น 5 ระยะ ระยะที่ 1 ศึกษากรอบแนวคิดการบริหารวิชาการและกรอบแนวคิดทักษะแบบตัวที ประเมินกรอบแนวคิดโดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจำนวน 5 คน ระยะที่ 2 ศึกษาระดับทักษะแบบตัวทีตามการรับรู้ของครู กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ครู จำนวน 357 คน ระยะที่ 3 ศึกษาความต้องการจำเป็นในการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ ผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา หัวหน้าฝ่ายวิชาการ หัวหน้ากลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้ หัวหน้ากิจกรรมพัฒนาผู้เรียนและกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตร จำนวน 2,124 คนของโรงเรียนประถมศึกษา สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร ระยะที่ 4 ศึกษาแนวทางการบริหารวิชาการที่ส่งเสริมทักษะแบบตัวทีโดยศึกษาจากสถานศึกษาที่มีแนวปฏิบัติที่ดี จำนวน 3 โรงเรียน ระยะที่ 5 การพัฒนานวัตกรรมการบริหารวิชาการที่ส่งเสริมทักษะแบบตัวที ประเมินความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้ จำนวนผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ 15 คน ประเมินนวัตกรรมการบริหารวิชาการที่ส่งเสริมทักษะแบบตัวทีของนักเรียน โดยการสนทนากลุ่ม จำนวนผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิในการสนทนากลุ่ม 10 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยที่ใช้ในแต่ละระยะประกอบด้วย แบบประเมินระดับทักษะแบบตัวที แบบสอบถามสภาพปัจจุบันและสภาพที่พึงประสงค์ แบบสัมภาษณ์กึ่งโครงสร้าง แบบประเมินความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้ของนวัตกรรมต้นแบบ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ สถิติบรรยาย การวิเคราะห์ความต้องการจำเป็น และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1) กรอบแนวคิดการบริหารวิชาการ ประกอบด้วย (1) ด้านการพัฒนาหลักสูตร (2) ด้านการจัดการเรียนการสอนและ (3) ด้านการวัดและประเมินผล 2) ระดับทักษะแบบตัวทีของนักเรียนประถมศึกษา สังกัดกรุงเทพมหานครตามการรับรู้ของครูผู้สอนที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงที่สุด คือ ทักษะภาวะผู้นำ ( = 4.15, S.D. = 0.58) …

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อศึกษากรอบแนวคิดการบริหารวิชาการของโรงเรียนประถมศึกษาและกรอบแนวคิดความเป็นพลเมืองกับความยุติธรรมทางสังคม 2) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัจจุบันและสภาพที่พึงประสงค์และความต้องการจำเป็นในการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนประถมศึกษาตามแนวคิดความเป็นพลเมืองกับความยุติธรรมทางสังคม 3) เพื่อพัฒนากลยุทธ์การบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนประถมศึกษาตามแนวคิดความเป็นพลเมืองกับความยุติธรรมทางสังคม ดำเนินการวิจัยโดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบผสมวิธีพหุระยะ (Multiphase Mixed Methods Design) ใช้วิธีเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Data) และข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณ (Quantitative Data) กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้คือ โรงเรียนประถมศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน 393 โรงเรียน ผู้ให้ข้อมูลคือ ผู้บริหารโรงเรียน 281 คน และครูกลุ่มบริหารวิชาการ 429 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยได้แก่ แบบสอบถามและแบบประเมิน สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลคือ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็น และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาจากการสนทนากลุ่ม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) กรอบแนวคิดการบริหารวิชาการโรงเรียนประถมศึกษา ประกอบด้วย 3 งาน คือ (1) การพัฒนาหลักสูตร (2) การจัดการเรียนรู้ และ (3) การวัดและประเมินผล กรอบแนวคิดความเป็นพลเมืองกับความยุติธรรมทางสังคม ประกอบด้วย 7 ด้าน คือ (1) สิทธิในการแสดงออกอย่างเสรีของปัจเจกบุคคล (2) สิทธิการมีกรรมสิทธิ์ในทรัพย์สิน (3) สิทธิทางการเมือง (4) สิทธิในความมั่นคงทางสังคมและได้รับบริการทางสังคม (5) ความยุติธรรมเชิงความเชื่อมโยง (6) ความยุติธรรมเชิงกระจายทรัพยากร และ(7) ความยุติธรรมเชิงวัฒนธรรม 2) สภาพปัจจุบันของการบริหารวิชาการของโรงเรียนประถมศึกษาตามแนวคิดความเป็นพลเมืองกับความยุติธรรมทางสังคม โดยภาพรวม มีค่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ในระดับมาก โดยด้านการพัฒนาหลักสูตรในสิทธิทางการเมืองมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงที่สุด สภาพที่พึงประสงค์โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก โดยด้านการพัฒนาหลักสูตรในสิทธิทางการเมือง และสิทธิในความมั่นคงทางสังคมและได้รับบริการทางสังคมมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงที่สุดเท่ากัน ทั้งนี้ค่าดัชนีความต้องการจำเป็นของการพัฒนาการบริหารวิชาการของโรงเรียนประถมศึกษาตามแนวคิดความเป็นพลเมืองกับความยุติธรรมทางสังคมสูงที่สุด คือ ด้านการวัดและประเมินผลในสิทธิในการแสดงออกอย่างเสรีของปัจเจกบุคคล สิทธิการมีกรรมสิทธิ์ในทรัพย์สิน และสิทธิในความมั่นคงทางสังคมและได้รับบริการทางสังคม 3) กลยุทธ์การบริหารวิชาการของโรงเรียนประถมศึกษาตามแนวคิดความเป็นพลเมืองกับความยุติธรรมทางสังคม ประกอบด้วย 3 กลยุทธ์หลัก ดังนี้ (1) พลิกโฉมการวัดและประเมินผลที่เสริมสร้างความเป็นพลเมืองกับความยุติธรรมทางสังคม ประกอบด้วย 2 กลยุทธ์รอง (2) พลิกโฉมการจัดการเรียนรู้ที่เสริมสร้างความเป็นพลเมืองกับความยุติธรรมทางสังคม ประกอบด้วย 2 …

A new kinetic particle modeling framework was developed to investigate electrostatic transport of lunar regolith particles with applications to the concept of electrostatic sieving. the new approach is based on kinetic particle dynamics and includes major modules of sampling the particle size distribution, solving electric fields, and tracking motion of charged dust grains. Case studies for a concept of electrostatic sieving were chosen to validate the new model. the simulation achieved similar yields reported in previous works, which served as validation of the model. the new model is computationally efficient and could serve as a design, analysis, and optimization tool.
