The noon break or lunch hour in Bangkok’s central business district (CBD) is when pedestrians wander around for various activities and purposes, in addition to having a meal, within a limited time frame. It is the only break from their daily working routines for energy recovery or socializing, which, in turn, increases readiness to continue working in the afternoon. Commercial activities preferred by pedestrians during this break contribute to increased economic activity. This article aims to establish the principles for the creation of Buddhist sacred places based on primary sources of the three major sects, namely, Therav?da, Mah?y?na, and Vajray?na, and studied architecture based on promising secondary sources through case studies. The stated research question is to understand the interaction among Buddhist principles, human activities, and Buddhist architecture in order to develop the criteria for creating Buddhist sacred places in the context of the modern world. Environmental Kuznets Curve Revisited, With Reference To The Middle East And North Africa (Mena), Patricia Aguado, Jinhwan Oh

Using an up-to-date panel dataset that covers 88 countries over a 38-year period (1991–2018), this paper revisits the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) to measure environmental degradation (CO2, methane, nitrous Oxide, PM 2.5, HFC, PFC and SF6) in relation to GDP per capita. This study confirms the inverted-U relation for CO2 emissions, with the estimated turning point at $13,233, but also identifies a U relation in the case of PM 2.5. Furthermore, in a regional analysis of both CO2 and PM 2.5, with special reference to the MENA region, it finds gaps between actual CO2 emissions and their fitted values. We …

The focus of this research was to identify what attributes of patient room designs are most beneficial to health care professionals and to explore whether particular professionals hold certain beliefs about patient room attributes. Acute care, progressive care, and intensive care patient room designs were analyzed through the use of pre- and postoccupancy evaluations of a cardiovascular service line. Fourteen focus groups and 1 interview among 74 health care professionals were conducted. Qualitative analysis of the data was guided by a multidimensional framework. การใช้พลังงานของอาคารในช่วงการก่อสร้างและช่วงใช้งานอาคาร เป็นปัจจัยสำคัญที่ปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกให้กับชั้นบรรยากาศโลก งานวิจัยนี้ เป็นการศึกษาประสิทธิภาพของมาตรการลดก๊าซเรือนกระจก เพื่อประเมินความคุ้มค่าของมาตรการที่มีในปัจจุบัน โดยทำการเก็บข้อมูลอาคารสำนักงานและอาคารคอนโดมิเนียมพักอาศัย เพื่อใช้เป็นแบบอาคารอ้างอิง และศึกษามาตรการในกลุ่มการออกแบบอาคารให้สอดคล้องกับสิ่งแวดล้อม กลุ่มวัสดุฉนวนผนัง กลุ่มวัสดุฉนวนหลังคา กลุ่มพลังงานทดแทน กลุ่มประสิทธิภาพของระบบปรับอากาศ รวมถึงกลุ่มระบบไฟฟ้าแสงสว่าง โดยศึกษาจากฐานข้อมูลค่าสัมประสิทธิ์การปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก ICE Version 2 และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์การปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก ปี พ.ศ.2563 ของประเทศไทย จากองค์บริหารจัดการก๊าซเรือนกระจก นำเสนอด้วยการประเมินต้นทุนส่วนเพิ่มสุทธิของการลดการปล่อยคาร์บอน จากการศึกษาในช่วงอายุอาคาร 60 ปี พบว่า ในอาคารสำนักงาน การติดตั้งกระจกฉนวนกันความร้อน เป็นทางเลือกที่คุ้มค่ามากที่สุด เนื่องจากสามารถลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกลงร้อยละ 7.99% และมีค่าใช้จ่ายตลอดอายุอาคารลดลงร้อยละ 5.98% ในอาคารคอนโดมิเนียมพักอาศัย ทุกมาตรการมีประสิทธิภาพในการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก ยกเว้นกลุ่มวัสดุฉนวนหลังคา การใช้ระบบปรับอากาศประหยัดไฟเบอร์ 5 3 ดาว เป็นทางเลือกที่คุ้มค่ามากที่สุด เนื่องจากสามารถลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกลงร้อยละ 10.37 และมีค่าใช้จ่ายตลอดอายุอาคารลดลงร้อยละ 1.31

ผลกระทบของแสงสว่างเพื่อนาฬิกาชีวิตต่อการใช้พลังงานอาคารประเภทสำนักงานในประเทศไทย, วริยาภรณ์ กิตติวังชัย

ปัจจุบันการออกแบบอาคารให้ความสำคัญกับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ใช้งานอาคารมากขึ้น การออกแบบแสงสว่างภายในอาคารเพื่อระบบนาฬิกาชีวิตของร่างกายมนุษย์เป็นวิธีหนึ่งที่ช่วยส่งเสริมสุขภาพที่ดีให้กับผู้ใช้อาคาร ซึ่งแสงสว่างในอาคารจะประกอบด้วยแสงธรรมชาติและแสงประดิษฐ์ ที่ส่งผลต่อการใช้พลังงานของอาคารจากการทำความเย็น และไฟฟ้าแสงสว่าง จากการศึกษางานวิจัยที่ผ่านมายังพบการศึกษาในเรื่องแสงสว่างเพื่อนาฬิกาชีวิตที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อการใช้พลังงงานโดยรวมของอาคารจากทั้งระบบปรับอากาศและไฟฟ้าแสงสว่างค่อนข้างน้อย งานวิจัยนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาตัวแปรการออกแบบแสงสว่างภายในอาคารที่มีผลต่อนาฬิกาชีวิต ตามเกณฑ์ WELL Building Standard v.2 หัวข้อ Circadian Lighting วิเคราะห์ผลกระทบต่อการใช้พลังงานโดยรวมของอาคาร และเสนอแนวทางการออกแบบแสงสว่างที่เหมาะสมต่อนาฬิกาชีวิตที่สามารถนำไปช่วยในการตัดสินใจให้กับผู้ออกแบบ โดยเป็นงานวิจัยเชิงจำลอง ที่ต้องการศึกษาตัวแปรที่มีผลต่อทั้งปริมาณแสงธรรมชาติ ปริมาณแสงประดิษฐ์ และการใช้พลังงานอาคาร ได้แก่ รูปทรงอาคาร ขนาดสัดส่วนพื้นที่ช่องเปิดต่อเปลือกอาคาร (WWR) ประเภทกระจก ค่าอุณหภูมิสีสัมพันธ์ของหลอดไฟ และการวางผังดวงโคมไฟฟ้าแสงสว่างภายในที่แตกต่างกัน เพื่อนำไปคำนวณค่า Spatial Daylight Autonomy (sDA) ค่า Vertical Illuminance (Ev) และค่า Equivalent Melanopic Lux (EML) รวมทั้งจำลองการใช้พลังงานโดยรวมของอาคาร ด้วยโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ DesignBuilder และ Dialux Evo ผลการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลพบว่า ในบางกรณีค่าการใช้พลังงานโดยรวมของอาคารไม่สัมพันธ์กับค่า EML เนื่องจากค่า EML ตามเกณฑ์ WELL นั้น กำหนดให้ประเมินจากความส่องสว่างในแนวดิ่งจากแสงประดิษฐ์เท่านั้น ไม่ได้ประเมินโดยนำแสงธรรมชาติมาร่วมด้วย แต่การใช้พลังงานโดยรวมของอาคาร ต้องพิจารณาทั้งการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้าแสงสว่างจากแสงประดิษฐ์ และพลังงานจากเครื่องปรับอากาศที่มีผลจากความร้อนที่เข้ามาภายในอาคารพร้อมกับแสงธรรมชาติ โดยอาคารที่ได้แสงสว่างที่เหมาะสมต่อนาฬิกาชีวิต หรือมีค่า EML ที่ผ่านเกณฑ์ขั้นต่ำนั้น เมื่อเทียบกับอาคารต้นแบบมีทั้งกรณีที่การใช้พลังงานโดยรวมของอาคารเพิ่มขึ้น 0.04%-4.82% และกรณีที่การใช้พลังงานโดยรวมของอาคารลดลง 0.01-5.33% นอกจากนี้การใช้แสงประดิษฐ์เพื่อให้ได้ปริมาณความส่องสว่างที่เหมาะสมต่อนาฬิกาชีวิตในอาคารสำนักงาน ทำให้การใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้าแสงสว่างเพิ่มขึ้นสูงสุดถึง 3.47 เท่า เมื่อเทียบกับอาคารต้นแบบ อย่างไรก็ตามแสงธรรมชาติในประเทศไทยนั้นเหมาะสมต่อนาฬิกาชีวิต หากสามารถศึกษาการประเมินค่า EML จากแสงธรรมชาติร่วมกับแสงประดิษฐ์ ก็จะสามารถลดการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้าแสงสว่างลงได้

Objectives: This article explores how the building-scale built environment is associated with selfrated health, examining differences in this association among younger, middle-aged, and older age groups. Features examined included building type, building condition, and sidewalk presence in front of dwellings.
