The effect of Nb addition on the corrosion behavior of U–6Zr alloys within an aerated, demineralized water (DW) environment (pH 5.61) and its correlation of this addition with the mechanical and microstructural properties of the alloys were investigated. The U–6Zr–xNb alloys (x = 1, 4, and 7 wt.%) were synthesized by arc-melting U, Zr, and Nb. Additionally, the samples were mounted and polished, after which they were subjected to electrochemical corrosion analysis using a potentiostat. Electrochemical processes lie at the core of biological function, governing energy transduction, metabolic flux, and molecular signaling. Recent advances in electrochemical science now allow these processes to be probed and controlled with unprecedented spatial, temporal, and chemical resolution. In this review, we present an integrated framework that progresses from fundamental mechanisms to analytical technologies and functional modulation. Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery using a graphite (Gr.) anode and a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4, LFP) cathode (Gr.||LFP) has been widespread in energy storage. To match the warranty period of energy storage systems, the lifespan of this kind of Li-ion battery, not only under room temperature but also under relatively high temperature, is critical. One of the primary challenges confronting the quarrying industry pertains to the ground vibrations resulting from the blasting activities in cement quarries, as these vibrations have the potential to inflict significant damage upon adjacent structures. Within the context of this scholarly article, an examination is conducted on a residential edifice situated in the 15th of May city in Cairo, Egypt, which has been impacted by the proximate mining blasting. The development of high-performance humidity sensors based on nanotechnology has become critical for different applications. This work focuses on the fabrication and characterization of impedance-type humidity sensors based on graphitic carbon nitride, titanium dioxide, and carbon nanotubes. The prepared materials comprise g-C3N4, g-C3N4/TiO2, and g-C3N4/TiO2/CNTs, which have been synthesized through the co-precipitation method. The properties of the nanocomposites have been verified through different characterization techniques that confirm the phase composition and morphology. The construction industry plays a crucial role in global development but faces significant environmental challenges, particularly CO2 emissions from cement production. Gypsum blocks provide a sustainable alternative to traditional cement concrete blocks. However, the low mechanical strength and water resistance of gypsum materials limit the widespread adoption of gypsum-based materials in the construction industry. This study initially produced gypsum-based blocks using compression forming, adding supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs), and subjecting accelerated carbonation curing (ACC). Under the long-term effects of disasters such as rainstorms and floods,the soil layer around subway stations may be affected by internal erosion,threatening the structural safety of urban subway stations.To explore the influence of internal erosion on subway station structures,this study conducted isotropic consolidation and triaxial compression tests on gap-graded sand soil.Eroded soil specimens were simulated by adjusting the fine particle content to explore the pattern of variations in physical and mechanical properties caused by internal erosion.Results indicate that internal erosion alters the stress-strain relationship of gap-graded sand soil,increasing compressibility,decreasing shear strength,and weakening dilatancy.Drucker-Prager (DP) cap model parameters for eroded sand …

To address issues such as poor visual guidance,narrow field of view,and short sight distance during nighttime driving on mountain roads,this study proposed a visual space enhancement evaluation method applicable to mountainous roads at night.By integrating active and passive traffic safety facilities,a visual space enhancement strategy adapted to the nighttime environment of mountain roads was proposed.A multidimensional evaluation indicator for visual space was established based on co-simulation.The effectiveness of the strategy was verified from the perspectives of visual space expansion and driving safety improvement by taking a trunk highway in the Qinling mountainous region as a case study.The results show that …
