Article 93 states that products originating from prohibited materials must include non-halal details in the form of images, writing, or the name of the material with a different color in the composition of the material, for example red. In 2014, the Head of the Halal Registration and Certification Center at the BPJPH Ministry of Religion explained that his party would regulate the use of non-halal labels for non-halal products in the Minister of Religion regulations. However, until now, this plan has not been realized. …

The woman is modeled off of Julie London, a prominent jazz singer from the 1940s to 1960s.

Mr Fusion Or Johnny 5? Visual Rhetoric Of Ai Design, Stuart Medley, Jo Jung
Research outputs 2022 to 2026
This chapter explores what artificial intelligence (AI) intellectual property (IP) owners do in their promotional material to negotiate public distrust of AI. A separation can be observed between the aesthetics and ethics of digital product design where simplified visual design appears to mask the complexity of AI-enabled devices, and systems. These observations can apply to the graphic design and corporate verbal rhetoric surrounding AI-enabled products. In this chapter, AI visual rhetoric is compared to science fiction aesthetics. Examples of masking complexity are described as visual echoes of the ‘Mr Fusion’ design from Back to the Future, while the few AI …

Lister Sinclair, the playwright says "Art pulls a community together... Art makes you feel differently. That's what artists are doing all the time, shifting and changing the way you see life." Librarians should be added to his statement. The past few semesters, our librarians at Kennesaw State University have not just encouraged our students to access our databases but have also created a medium for them to showcase their art via digital commons and publish it globally. My talk will focus on our journey from ideation to realization

First-Gen Voices: Creative and Critical Narratives on the First-Generation College Experience
Through a first-person perspective, we travel along to Costa Rica with LMU’s First To Go students. Utilizing a long format, home video style, the goal is to communicate the authentic experiences that occurred during the trip. It’s one thing to be a young adult getting the chance to explore new parts of the world, but it’s a different privilege to get to do it with others that you can connect with. So much so that in the couple months preceding the trip, I found myself dealing with that post-trip depression. However, in that state, I found the beauty of being …

First-Gen Voices: Creative and Critical Narratives on the First-Generation College Experience
I never thought that when I would start traveling internationally that it would be alone I always imagined it with my family, but never did I imagine traveling to really interact with the communities either I always thought of traveling as leisure. I guess I could say this impression was not implemented when OI started traveling as I started to notice how I didn’t want to do touristy things and I really just wanted to be. To be there to be present to be aware and I think that is what I enjoyed the most about my trip to Costa …
