Site 41SR459 was located during an archeological survey for the proposed construction of a new roadway, State Loop 195, and is located north of US-83 within Starr County, Texas. The CISD High School #4 Project (Project) includes construction of buildings, parking lots, roadways, and associated utility installation for the new school campus. After the identification of a State Antiquities Landmark (SAL)-eligible burned rock midden at site 41CM412 during the preliminary archaeological survey, a data recovery investigation was undertaken within this portion of the site.

The site is approximately six acres it is under the Nacogdoches Banita Creek Park and Dog Park in Nacogdoches, TX. in area of which only 51 meters2 were excavated. The North Texas Municipal Water District is planning to build the Sister Grove Regional Water Resource Recovery Facility on a 932-acre property in New Hope, Collin County, Texas. In total, 372 acres of this property will be impacted. In a cultural resource evaluation dated September 5, 2019, AR Consultants, Inc. recommended the survey of four areas with high potential for encountering prehistoric and historic archaeology, totaling 105 acres.
