The purpose of the study is to evaluate library schools’ curricula in Nigeria with the aim of identifying a practical course on computer literacy to solve the problem of lack of ICT staff as noted by several studies conducted on the African continent. The study covered 30 universities offering Library and Information Science. The main instrument for data collection was analysis of departmental documents containing the LIS curriculum. A bibliometric analysis of scientific research production of the top five most productive countries in comparison with India in nuclear and high energy physics is presented during the period 1996-2019 using Scopus-linked SCImago electronic database. To validate the present study, some selected bibliometric indicators such as published documents, their citations and citations per document has been studied. In total, 769180 research documents were published worldwide in journal, conference proceedings and in book series. Abstract

The paper examined disciplinary measures and job performance of library staff in academic libraries in Imo State. It was guided by five objectives of the study. The survey research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study is thirty (34) Heads of Departments in the five academic libraries studied. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to know the scholarly visibility of science faculty members of Karnataka state universities as reflected in ResearchGate.

Methodology: The list of faculty members working in various universities of Karnataka State was collected from websites of respective universities. The data related to Publications, Reads, Citations, h-index, RG Score, of each faculty members were extracted from ResearchGate profile pages of the faculty members.

Citations from the bibliographies of Andrews University education doctoral dissertations completed in 2013-2017 were analyzed to understand the needs of graduate education students for collection management purposes. The study looked at type, citation age, and availability of the sources cited. The citations from the 31 dissertations were mainly periodicals (47%) and books (37%), with smaller percentages of dissertations, Web sites, and other forms of resources. A majority of the sources had a citation age of less than 20 years. The findings showed a weakness in the book collection, as only 44.54% of book citations were held by the library. In …

The investigation explores the three international level journals of Economic Subject namely Global Economic Review, International Review of Applied of Economics and International Economic Journal. 150 references were selected for the investigation and verified, and 92 errors were detected in this paper. Total 65 (54%) References were incorrect. 55% (51) minor and 45% (41) major errors were identified. A systematic policy for reference accuracy was implemented in all the three economic journals by editorial board.

Abstract

The present study applies the citation analysis method to analyze Library and Information Science (LIS) doctoral theses submitted to Manipur University during 1989-2017. A total of 2,725 citations appended to 27 LIS doctoral theses examined for bibliographic forms, authorship pattern, and their collaboration level, chronological-wise distribution, the applicability of Bradford's law, rank-wise list, core journal list, country-wise list. The study finds that journals are the most cited resources, followed by books. Single-authored works are found dominant in both journal and book citations. The present paper reveals the research productivity of scientists from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi during 2015 to 2019. Computational analysis carried out in Microsoft Excel. The required bibliographic information collected from the Clarivate Analytics's Web of Science database. The data analysis has done with the help of Scientometrics methodology and computational analysis. This study aims to find out the research productivity of IIT Delhi in terms of publication year-wise analysis, National and International collaboration, authorship pattern.
