Work engagement is the most potent predictor of individual and organizational success. However, researchers have made no significant effort regarding this crucial issue of librarian work engagement in Pakistan. Therefore, the present study explores work engagement among Pakistani librarians and its impact on their job performance. The qualitative research involved interviewing five professional librarians aged between 30 and 45 years with professional experience of five years and above. The thematic nature of the interviews was conducted online with the main aim of understanding factors that affect work engagement. The findings revealed multiple work engagement determinants, notably influencing job performance.

Open educational resources (OER) play an increasingly important role in the education landscape, with increased awareness and use year over year (Coffey). Often, academic libraries play a supporting role for instructors as they locate, adopt, and create OER for their courses. In this article, we will provide an introduction to OER, outline some current trends in open education, and describe a few of the OER initiatives currently underway in Kentucky’s college and university libraries.

In Nigeria, many public and private university libraries have deployed the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) as a retrieval tool to improve services for user satisfaction. The study, therefore, investigated the assessment of students' information literacy skills and OPAC usage: a study of law undergraduates in Osun state, Nigeria.

Modern libraries are increasingly being redefined as places to get unrestricted access to information in many formats and from many sources by providing a tremendous amount of information with a variety of digital tools. The study focused on digital preservation practices in federal university libraries in Southwestern Nigeria. A survey design of the qualitative type was adopted. All federal university libraries in the region were sampled. Data was collected through interviews conducted with the heads of the Digital Preservation Units or their representatives.
