Institutional digital repositories provide open access to research outputs created within a university or research institution. Many institutions currently support open access by paying article processing charges (APC) for their affiliated faculty and researchers. The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Libraries started the Open Access (OA) Fund program in 2014 to help cover the APC of tenure-track UNO authors. The fundamental goals of the UNO OA Fund is to include and encourage the UNO community to publish their research in an OA journal and platform, DigitalCommons@UNO (http://digitalcommons.unomaha.edu/).

In this presentation, how the University of Missouri-St. Louis Institutional Repository Library is using a combination of Zotero, Google Apps and Sherpa Romeo to discover faculty works that can be shared, will be examined. Automagical is defined by dictionary.com as an adjective describing something that is "happening in a way that is hidden from or not understood by the user, and in that sense, apparently "magical." "The automagical aspects of this process will be explored, but not so deeply as to make them non-magical.

Like many institutions, Forsyth Digital Collections presents their content on more than one platform. Since the acquisition of Digital Commons and the launch of the FHSU Scholars Repository in January 2016, there has been an institutional effort to determine which platform is best suited to displaying existing content. Beginning in 2009, the FHSU Reveille Yearbooks collection had been hosted in CONTENTdm. The user experience for this collection left much to be desired. The session includes a report about the 2017 Nebraska ACRL [Association of College and Research Libraries] Scholarly Communication Roadshow that was held July 12, 2017, on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) campus. The presenters share key takeaways from each of three main program segments, which focused on (1) open education, (2) copyright, and (3) research metrics and author identifiers (e.g., ORCID). Faculty Scholarship and Creative Works

Librarians and instructional designers (IDs) from a university in the U.S. will describe the partnership formed to promote no-cost textbook solutions (OER, library-sourced) in the face of a restrictive environment. The institution is divided in two tiers: the President's Office, which oversees non-academic functions such as Business Services, and the Provost's Office, which is responsible for teaching and learning. This creates an inherent tension concerning course materials and revenue, troubling the conception of education as a fundamentally shared practice. Our group aimed to promote change at the university level, while also collaborating to facilitate the efforts of faculty.

Factors Affecting Psychologists’ Adoption Of An Open Data Badge, Lindsey M. Harper, Youngseek Kim

Librarian Research

The purpose of this research is to investigate the individual, normative and resource factors affecting psychologists’ adoption of an open data badge. The theory of planned behavior is employed as the theoretical framework to explain how these factors impact behavioral intention to adopt an open data badge. A national survey (n=341) of psychologists found that perceived benefits, norms of data sharing and attitude towards an open data badge had a significant positive relationship with attitude toward the open data badge, whereas perceived risk had a significant negative relationship.
