The first of a 5-part series of lectures on scholarly communication, this lecture introduces learners to the scholarly communications landscape by exploring its roots in historical and cultural events such as colonization and the growth of the internet. Two activities enable students to explore the legal implications of reusing various materials as well as the speakers and audiences of top journals in occupational therapy.

Systematic Review Search Strategies: Non-Arthritic Hip Diseases And Psychosocial Factors, Jenn Monnin

The following search strategies were built for a systematic review addressing non-arthritic hip diseases and psychosocial factors. An a priori protocol for this review was developed and registered with PROSPERO (CRD42021248562). The search was originally designed in PubMed, then translated to the other databases searched (Scopus, Web of Science, CINAHL, and SPORTDiscus). Search peer review was performed by Anna Crawford using a modified version of the Peer Review of Electronic Search Strategies guideline. The original search was run on July 12, 2021, with a search update performed on June 21, 2023.

Using Gene Ontology And Ml Algorithms For Dataset Design And Creation For Ml/Ai Modeling, Qiaoyi Liu, Jian Qin

This demo proposal presents a case study that uses Gene Ontology (GO) and ML/AI algorithms to design and create KO-derived datasets for ML/AI applications. We discuss the characteristics and requirements of KO practices and products in implementing ML algorithms. The focus of this demo is on how knowledge organization systems can be utilized to derive datasets that can deliver quality and trustworthiness for achieving the precision, computing of semantic similarity, and interoperability in these algorithms.

Background: In the United States (U.S.), falls are the leading cause of injury among adults 65 and over, resulting in 36 million falls yearly (Moreland et al., 2020). According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, 2023), one in four older adults experiences a fall each year. Falls are the world's second most prominent cause of accidental deaths (World Health Organization [WHO], 2021). Falls are the leading cause of both fatal and non-fatal injuries among older adults (Moreland et al., 2020).

The usability evaluation of library management systems is important to improve the provision of library service. The present study aimed to evaluate the usability of Azarsa Library Management System based on the user experience. In this research, 200 users of Azarsa library management system were selected as study samples by a simple random sampling method. The 26-item user experience questionnaire was used to collect data. The highest scores relating to mean data of the evaluation of Azarsa library management system belonged to the system's "perspicuity" with a mean of 0.772, "dependability" of system with a mean of 0.550, and the …

The study presents the webometrics analysis of 9 websites of Government Medical Colleges under the Health Department, Government of Bihar. The Purpose of in study to identify the web presence, domain analysis and other webometrics indicators of the selected website. The study uses SEO MOZ for data collection. It was found that the website of Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital, Muzaffarpur (SKMCH) has the highest domain authority of 27 and the highest page authority of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, Patna (NMCH) of 35.
