Since the beginning of this century, academic libraries have been at the forefront of book digitization and access. During this same period, many individuals have made the transition from reading printed materials to reading on screens. This change in reading habits has led to profound shifts in how libraries conceive their mission, how they structure their spaces, how they organize their resources, and where they allocate funds in their budgets. Devout Christians work in a spectrum of library settings (including public libraries), networked by globalized information access. By nature of their employment, these librarians assist patrons in accessing and retrieving information that challenges or conflicts with a biblical worldview. How can one defend taking such an active role in this seeming contradiction? This article maintains that Christian commitment may not only co-exist with the freedom of information access but may also support it as a universal human right in our globalized, pluralistic context. This article provides an overview of COUNTER5 metrics and reports, describes the Usage Data Dashboard template, and provides several takeaways for designing data collection workflows. Drawing from research data management (RDM) principles surrounding documentation, the Usage Data Dashboard template can support library workers and improve processes of collecting and interpreting electronic usage data.

Student scholarship should be an integral part of any institutional repository, as it can showcase the important work that students do during their time at the institution. This chapter proposes that an initial focus on student scholarship can aid colleges and universities in building their institutional repositories quickly. This method of collection building can also help to quickly achieve buy-in from campus stakeholders. University administrators will like seeing strong initial usage numbers and can feel confident that the repository will be a good project to fund into the future. Post Cancellation Access (PCA) journal collections can improve library services. Other libraries can take better advantage of the PCA rights they negotiate and serve as better stewards of the rights they acquire. At the Electronic Resources Minnesota (ERMN) conference in 2022, we demonstrated how to create and maintain PCA collections using the Alma library management system. These collections are useful for several purposes and contribute directly to how we perform holdings analysis.

This presentation is a fascinating look at how business researchers use databases and datasets. Our study examines the full text of hundreds of journal articles published between 2020 and 2023, by researchers from two business schools belonging to R1 universities in the Northeast U.S. - New York University, a top private research university, and the University of Connecticut, a public land-grant university.

Our presentation will list the most commonly cited datasets - commercial data and public, open data. We discuss the similarities and differences between the two business schools and offer insights on how dataset usage impacts research outcomes and …

At Clemson University, each subject librarian has a yearly goal to perform collection assessment and development duties as part of their work with their assigned departments; however, CU Libraries has been without a dedicated Collection Development and/or Management Librarian since prior to the pandemic. As a result, collection development, management, and assessment activities are somewhat piecemeal due to a lack of time, support, and staffing.
