The Thai pharmaceutical industry aims to achieve self-reliance in vaccines, drugs, and biologics as per the National Strategic Master Plan. Challenges include low research capacity and higher drug imports compared to domestic production. To promote self-reliance, more research on incrementally modified drugs (IMDs) is essential. This study analyzes the financial feasibility of developing IMD dosage forms for policy and investment decisions. A mixed-method approach, including type selection, investment models, cost structures, and financial analysis, was employed. PD-1/PD-L1 pathway has become one target of the cancer immunotherapy approaches. Objective: This study evaluated the budget impact of introducing upadacitinib for patients with uncontrolled moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) from a United States (U.S.) private payer perspective.

Methods: The model estimated costs before and after the adoption of upadacitinib for a hypothetical one million covered lives over 3 years. The model included immunosuppressant agents and dupilumab. Market uptake was assumed to be 2% per year. Treatments incur a cost for drug acquisition, and the costs associated with drug administration, laboratory testing, and clinic visits. Background: Hypertension is highly prevalent in the United States, affecting nearly half of all adults (43%). Studies have shown that pharmacy-physician collaborative care models (PPCCM) for hypertension management significantly improve blood pressure (BP) control rates and provide consistent control of BP. Time in target range (TTR) for systolic BP is a novel measure of BP control consistency that is independently associated with decreased cardiovascular (CV) risk. There is no evidence observed improvement in TTR for systolic BP with PPCCM is cost effective.

Recent studies have shown that RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp), 3-chymotrypsin-like protease (3CLpro), and papain-like protease (PLpro) are necessary for SARS-CoV-2 replication. Among these three enzymes, PLpro exhibits both proteolytic and deubiquitinase (DUB) activity and is responsible for disrupting the host's innate immune response against SARS-CoV-2. Because of this unique property of PLpro, we investigated the inhibitory effects of phytochemicals on the SARS-CoV-2 PLpro enzyme. Our data indicates that the phytochemicals such as catechin, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), mangiferin, myricetin, rutin, and theaflavin exhibited inhibitory activity with IC₅₀ values of 14.2, 128.4, 95.3, 12.1, and 43.4, and 7.3 μM, respectively, towards …

Poor customer complaint-handling strategies can negatively affect customer loyalty. Leaders in the pharmaceutical industry who fail to improve complaint-handling strategies can experience a decrease in profitability. Grounded in the double-loop learning theory, the purpose of this qualitative single-case study was to explore effective strategies business leaders use to manage customer complaints in a pharmaceutical company. Participants included six business leaders in Northwest New Jersey, United States, who successfully used strategies to improve customer complaint handling in the pharmaceutical industry. Clozapine และ Olanzapine เป็นยาต้านโรคจิตกลุ่มใหม่สองชนิดที่มีผลต่อการเพิ่มขึ้นของน้ำหนักตัวมากที่สุดเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับยาต้านโรคจิตชนิดอื่น ๆ การศึกษานี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงวิเคราะห์แบบเก็บข้อมูลย้อนหลัง เพื่อเปรียบเทียบการเปลี่ยนแปลงน้ำหนักตัวในผู้ป่วยจิตเวชชาวไทยระหว่างกลุ่มที่ได้รับ Clozapine กับ Olanzapine เป็นระยะเวลา 12 เดือน ณ โรงพยาบาลศรีธัญญา ตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม พ.ศ. 2555 ถึง เดือนธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2564 ติดตามน้ำหนักตัวและค่าดัชนีมวลกายทั้งหมด 5 ครั้ง คือ ช่วงเดือนที่ 0, 3, 6, 9 และ 12 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติ Two Way ANCOVA และ Repeated measure ANCOVA ผลการวิจัย พบกลุ่มตัวอย่างทั้งหมดในการศึกษา จำนวน 381 ราย (Clozapine จำนวน 205 ราย และ Olanzapine จำนวน 176 ราย) ณ เดือนที่ 12 เดือนกลุ่ม Olanzapine มีค่าเฉลี่ยของน้ำหนักตัว (71.87 ± 0.55 กิโลกรัม) สูงกว่ากลุ่ม Clozapine (69.22 ± 0.52 กิโลกรัม) อย่างมีนัยสำคัญ (P=0.001) และในทุกช่วงของการติดตาม กลุ่ม Olanzapine มีน้ำหนักตัวเฉลี่ยสูงกว่ากลุ่ม Clozapine รวมถึงพบแนวโน้มของน้ำหนักตัวเพิ่มสูงขึ้นหลังการใช้ยาทั้งสองตัวตามระยะเวลาที่ผ่านไป นอกจากนี้พบ Plateau ของน้ำหนักตัวจากการใช้ Clozapine และ Olanzapine ในเดือนที่ 6 และ 9 ของการรักษาตามลำดับ โดยสรุป ผู้ป่วยจิตเวชชาวไทยที่ได้รับ Clozapine หรือ Olanzapine ต่อเนื่องเป็นระยะเวลา 12 เดือนจะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงของน้ำหนักตัวเพิ่มสูงขึ้นตามระยะเวลาที่ผ่านไป โดย Olanzapine …

วัตถุประสงค์: ประเมินผลคุณภาพชีวิตด้านการใช้ยา คุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพ จำนวนปัญหาจากการใช้ยาและผลลัพธ์ทางคลินิกของการแก้ไขปัญหาจากการใช้ยา รวมถึงสัดส่วนผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับการแก้ไขปัญหาจากการใช้ยาในผู้ป่วยโรคไตเรื้อรังที่ไม่ได้บำบัดทดแทนไตที่ได้รับการบริบาลทางเภสัชกรรมโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม PROMPT เปรียบเทียบกับกลุ่มที่ได้รับการบริการตามมาตรฐานปกติของโรงพยาบาล วิธีการวิจัย: การวิจัยเชิงทดลองหลายศูนย์แบบสุ่มชนิดมีกลุ่มควบคุมแบบปกปิดทางเดียว ศึกษาในผู้ป่วยโรคไตเรื้อรังที่ไม่ได้บำบัดทดแทนไตที่เข้ารับบริการในโรงพยาบาลสองพี่น้องและโรงพยาบาลท่าใหม่ จังหวัดจันทบุรี ระหว่างเดือนพฤศจิกายน 2564 ถึงเดือนสิงหาคม 2565 จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 292 คน โดยจัดสรรผู้ป่วยเป็น 2 กลุ่ม คือ กลุ่มศึกษา (กลุ่มที่ได้รับการบริบาลทางเภสัชกรรมโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม PROMPT และกลุ่มควบคุม (กลุ่มที่ได้รับการบริการตามมาตรฐานปกติของโรงพยาบาล) ประเมินผลคุณภาพชีวิตด้านการใช้ยาและคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพของผู้ป่วยด้วยแบบสอบถาม PROMPT และแบบสอบถาม KDQOL ตามลำดับ ผลการวิจัย: กลุ่มศึกษามีผลคะแนนคุณภาพชีวิตด้านการใช้ยาดีขึ้นอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติจำนวน 3 มิติจาก 8 มิติเมื่อเทียบกับกลุ่มควบคุม ได้แก่ มิติการได้รับข้อมูลยาและโรคจากบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ (p < 0.001) มิติความพึงพอใจต่อผลการใช้ยา (p = 0.003) และมิติคุณภาพชีวิตโดยรวมของการใช้ยา (p = 0.018) รวมถึงผลคะแนนรวมของแบบสอบถามคุณภาพชีวิตด้านการใช้ยา (p < 0.001) สำหรับผลคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพระหว่างผู้ป่วยทั้งสองกลุ่มพบความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติจำนวน 2 มิติจาก 10 มิติ ได้แก่ มิติความยากลำบากจากโรคไต (p = 0.045) และการให้คะแนนสุขภาพโดยรวม (p = 0.011) นอกจากนี้กลุ่มศึกษาค้นพบปัญหาจากการใช้ยามากกว่าและมีผลลัพธ์ทางคลินิกโดยรวมของการแก้ไขปัญหาจากการใช้ยาที่มีผลดีขึ้นมากกว่ากลุ่มควบคุมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p < 0.001 และ p = 0.013 ตามลำดับ) แต่สัดส่วนผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับการแก้ไขปัญหาจากการใช้ยาและมีผลดีขึ้นไม่พบความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติระหว่างผู้ป่วยทั้งสองกลุ่ม (p = 0.329) สรุปผลการวิจัย: การบริบาลทางเภสัชกรรมโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม PROMPT ส่งผลให้ผู้ป่วยมีคุณภาพชีวิตด้านการใช้ยาดีขึ้น ค้นพบปัญหาจากการใช้ยาได้เพิ่มมากขึ้น และผลลัพธ์ทางคลินิกโดยรวมของปัญหาจากการใช้ยาที่ได้รับการแก้ไขและมีผลดีขึ้นในผู้ป่วยโรคไตเรื้อรังที่ไม่ได้บำบัดทดแทนไตเพิ่มมากขึ้น แม้ว่าผลคุณภาพชีวิตด้านสุขภาพและสัดส่วนผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับการแก้ไขปัญหาจากการใช้ยาและมีผลดีขึ้นจะมีผลลัพธ์ที่ยังไม่ชัดเจน

วัตถุประสงค์ของงานวิจัยนี้ เพื่อศึกษาผลของแรงตอกอัดต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงรูปแบบของตัวยาสำคัญโรซูวาสแตตินแคลเซียมอสัณฐาน และพัฒนาวิธีวิเคราะห์โรซูวาสแตตินแคลเซียม อสัณฐานแบบโซลิดสเตตเชิงปริมาณ โดยใช้เทคนิครามานสเปกโทรสโกปี โดยเริ่มจากการเตรียมตัวอย่างการสอบเทียบที่อัตราส่วน 0, 25, 50, 75 และ 100 เปอร์เซนต์โดยน้ำหนัก โรซูวาสแตตินแคลเซียมอสัณฐาน นำไปตอกด้วยแรงขนาดต่ำให้กลายเป็นเม็ดยา และทำการวิเคราะห์โดยใช้เทคนิครามานสเปกโทรสโกปี จากนั้นนำสเปกตรัมรามานมาทำการประมวลผลล่วงหน้า (Preprocessing) และทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้การวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบหลัก (Principal component analysis, PCA) และการวิเคราะห์การถดถอยกำลังสองน้อยที่สุดบางส่วน (Partial least squares regression, PLSR) ด้วยโปรแกรมอันสแครมเบลอร์ (Unscrambler®) ซึ่งพบว่า แบบจำลองการสอบเทียบที่ได้รับการประมวลผลล่วงหน้าโดยการปรับแก้การกระเจิงแบบผลคูณ (Multiplicative scatter correction, MSC) ของสเปกตรัมรามานช่วง 1,700 ซม-1 ถึง 1,490 ซม-1 มีประสิทธิภาพในการทำนายและให้ผลการวิเคราะห์ใกล้เคียงกับวิธีวิเคราะห์อ้างอิงมากที่สุด โดยมีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์การพิจารณาการสอบเทียบ (Coefficient of determination of calibration, R-square) เท่ากับ 0.9993466, ค่าเฉลี่ยกำลังสองของความผิดพลาดมาตรฐานของการสอบเทียบ (Root mean square of the standard error of calibration, RMSEC) เท่ากับ 0.8746274, ค่าเฉลี่ยกำลังสองของความผิดพลาดมาตรฐานของการทวนสอบความถูกต้องข้าม (Root mean square of the standard error of cross-validation, RMSECV) เท่ากับ 3.8250928 และค่าเฉลี่ยกำลังสองของความผิดพลาดมาตรฐานของการทำนาย (Root mean the square error of prediction, RMSEP, RMSEP) เท่ากับ 4.8952222

The aim of this study was to select insect-pathogenic fungi and screen them for their antibacterial and antibiofilm activities against plant pathogenic bacteria that cause an 80% decrease in rice yield. The selected insect pathogenic fungi belong to a group that exhibits complex characteristics that can potentially lead to misidentification. Therefore, a combination of morphological study and phylogenetic analysis was used to accurately identify these fungi. A total of 166 specimens were selected from three genera, including Ascopolyporus, Beauveria, and Metarhizium.
